2020 Football West Season
The 2020 Football West season was the 120th season of competitive association football in Western Australia and the seventh season since the establishment of the National Premier Leagues WA (NPL). All NPL and grassroots competitions were suspended for one month due to the impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia, effective 18 March to 14 April, and further extended until early July. The NPL, NPL Women's and Men's State League competitions resumed from 3 July, with grassroots football having recommenced from 21 June. National Premier Leagues Western Australia
The National Premier Leagues Western Australia (NPL WA) is a regional Australian semi-professional soccer league comprising teams from Western Australia. As a subdivision of the National Premier Leagues, the league is the highest level of the Western Australian league system (Level 2 of the overall Australian league system). The competition is administered by Football West, the governing body of the sport in the state. In 2014, the league – formerly known as the Football West State League Premier Division – was rebranded into what exists today. The Olympic Kingsway Sports Club, often referenced as Kingsway Olympic, is an association football (soccer) club from Perth, Western Australia. Rockingham City FC is an association football club based in Rockingham, Western Australia established in 1970. Based at the Lark Hill Sports Complex which they moved to in 2008. Rockingham City also hosts junior teams starting at Under 6's, senior amateur and women's teams. The club will compete in 2025 in the Football West State League Division 2. Perth Glory FC Youth
Perth Glory Youth is the highest level squad within the youth system setup of Perth Glory Football Club based in Perth, Western Australia, Australia. They play in the National Premier Leagues and play the majority of their home games at Sam Kerr Football Centre in Queens Park. The Perth Glory Under-23s is an academy teams that formerly played in the Y-League. Cockburn City Soccer Club is an Australian soccer club currently playing in the National Premier Leagues Western Australia. They play their home games at Dalmatinac Park and train at Beale Park. History Cockburn City Soccer Club's origin goes back to 1929 when they were known as Spearwood Rovers, and after the 1964 season they amalgamated with Britannia (who had renamed a year earlier from Fremantle City) to become Cockburn United.
