2020 DFL-Supercup
The 2020 DFL-Supercup was the eleventh edition of the German super cup under the name DFL-Supercup, an annual football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal competitions. The match was played on 30 September 2020. The match is usually played in July or August prior to the start of the Bundesliga. However, due to postponement of the 2019–20 Bundesliga as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the start of the 2020–21 season was delayed until September 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the match was played behind closed doors. The match featured Bayern Munich, the champions of the 2019–20 Bundesliga and winners of the 2019–20 DFB-Pokal (completing a domestic double), and Borussia Dortmund, the runners-up of the Bundesliga and holders of the DFL-Supercup. Allianz Arena
Allianz Arena (; known as Fußball Arena München for UEFA competitions) is a football stadium in Munich, Bavaria, Germany with a 70,000 seating capacity for international matches and 75,000 for domestic matches. Widely known for its exterior of inflated ETFE plastic panels, it is the first stadium in the world with a full colour changing exterior. Located at 25 Werner-Heisenberg-Allee at the northern edge of Munich's Schwabing-Freimann borough on the Fröttmaning Heath, it is the second-largest arena in Germany behind Westfalenstadion in Dortmund. 2020–21 Bundesliga
The 2020–21 Bundesliga was the 58th season of the Bundesliga, Germany's premier football competition. It began on 18 September 2020 and concluded on 22 May 2021. The season was originally scheduled to begin on 21 August 2020 and conclude on 15 May 2021, though this was delayed due to postponement of the previous season as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2016 DFL-Supercup was the seventh edition of the German Super Cup under the name DFL-Supercup, an annual football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal competitions. The match was played on 14 August 2016 at the Westfalenstadion, Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund. The 2015 DFL-Supercup was the sixth edition of the German Super Cup under the name DFL-Supercup, an annual football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal competitions. It featured Bayern Munich, the winners of the 2014–15 Bundesliga, and VfL Wolfsburg, the winners of the 2014–15 DFB-Pokal. Bayern lost 2–0 in the previous edition, to Borussia Dortmund. The 2014 DFL-Supercup was the fifth edition of the German Super Cup under the name DFL-Supercup, an annual football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal competitions. It featured Bayern Munich, winners of the 2013–14 Bundesliga, and Borussia Dortmund, the runners-up of the 2013–14 Bundesliga who also reached the 2014 DFB-Pokal final. Dortmund were the reigning champions, having beaten Bayern 4–2 in 2013, although the season before, Bayern beat Dortmund 2–1. Both teams had won four previous installments (of seven attempts by Bayern and six by Dortmund), and thus the winners would set a new record. 2013 DFL-Supercup
The 2013 DFL-Supercup was the fourth DFL-Supercup, an annual football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal competitions. It featured Bayern Munich, winners of the 2012–13 Bundesliga and the 2012–13 DFB-Pokal, and, as a result of the former winning both competitions, the Bundesliga runners-up Borussia Dortmund. The match was hosted by Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park on 27 July 2013. The match took place two months after the same teams played each other in the 2013 UEFA Champions League Final. 2010 DFL-Supercup
The 2010 DFL-Supercup marked the return of the German Supercup, an annual football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal competitions. The competition had not been played in an official capacity since 1996, and was replaced by the DFB Liga-Pokal from 1997 to 2007. For the previous two years, an unofficial super cup had been contested. The match was played at the Impuls Arena in Augsburg on 7 August 2010, and was contested by 2009–10 Bundesliga and 2009–10 DFB-Pokal double winners Bayern Munich, and league runners-up Schalke 04.
