2020 CEBL–U Sports Draft
The 2020 CEBL–U Sports Draft is the second CEBL Draft, being revealed on March 26. Seven Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) teams will select 21 athletes in total. Format the draft order for the first round is determine by how the teams finished in the 2019 CEBL season The 2019 CEBL season was the inaugural season of the Canadian Elite Basketball League. Basketball
Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball (approximately in diameter) through the defender's hoop (a basket in diameter mounted high to a backboard at each end of the court, while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop. Edmonton Stingers
The Edmonton Stingers are a Canadian professional basketball team based in Edmonton, Alberta. They compete in the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) and play their home games at the HIVE arena at the Edmonton Expo Centre. The Stingers' mascot is Buzz, a hornet, inspired by the CF-18 based in Cold Lake. The team logo has a CF-18 going through a capital E to make the body of the hornet. Saskatchewan Rattlers
The Saskatchewan Rattlers are a Canadian professional basketball team based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, that competes in the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). They play their home games at the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon. History On May 2, 2018 the Canadian Elite Basketball League announced a team would compete in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. On July 3, 2018, it was announced that the team will be called the Saskatchewan Rattlers. Saskatchewan joins Edmonton, Hamilton, Guelph, Niagara, and Abbotsford as one of the six original franchises for the inaugural season of the CEBL. The Rattlers won the 2019 CEBL championship and were the inaugural champions of the league. They beat Hamilton Honey Badgers 94–83 in the final. Kadre Gray (born November 2, 1997) is a Canadian professional basketball point guard with GTK Gliwice of the Polish Basketball League. He previously played for the Vancouver Bandits, Fraser Valley Bandits and Ottawa BlackJacks of the Canadian Elite Basketball League. With Ottawa, he was named all-CEBL second team and CEBL Canadian Player of the Year during the 2023 season after averaging 16.3 points and a league-best 6.3 assists per game. The Niagara River Lions are a Canadian professional basketball team based in St. Catharines, Ontario, that competes in the Canadian Elite Basketball League.
