2020 Bradford Bulls Season
This article details the Bradford Bulls rugby league football club's 2020 season. This is the Bulls second season in the Championship after narrowly missing out on the playoffs in the previous season. Season review August 2019 Preparations for the 2020 season started with the announcement from chairman Andrew Chalmers that the Bulls would move away from Odsal Stadium for the upcoming season due to the high rent and maintenance costs, with Dewsbury Rams home ground Crown Flatt hosting Bradford's home games. Following this news the Rugby Football League placed the Bulls under 'special measures' over concerns of the club's finances and budgets for 2020 which also prevented Bradford from making signings during this period. Loose forward George Milton and second-row Colton Roche left the club sometime during the season. Championship (rugby League)
The Championship, known as the Betfred Championship for sponsorship reasons, is a professional rugby league competition. It is the second-tier competition organised by the Rugby Football League, the governing body for the sport in England, and consists of 14 teams, with promotion to the Super League and relegation to the third-tier competition, League One. The league announced a two-year sponsorship deal with the bookmaking company Betfred ahead of the 2018 season. The current champions are Leigh Centurions, winners of the 2022 season after beating Batley Bulldogs in the Million Pound Game to win promotion to Super League 2023. Wakefield Trinity is a professional rugby league club in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England, that plays in the Super League. Leeds Tykes (formerly Leeds RUFC, Leeds Carnegie and Yorkshire Carnegie) is an English rugby union club in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, playing in the National League 1. The club was founded as Headingley FC, but renamed in 1991 when it joined with Roundhay RUFC to form Leeds RUFC. The York Knights are the men's professional rugby league team of York RLFC (known as the York City Knights from 2002 to 2022) based in York, England.
