2020 Atlanta Dream Season
The 2020 WNBA season was the 13th season for the Atlanta Dream of the Women's National Basketball Association. The team began its season on July 26, 2020, against the Dallas Wings. On October 18, 2019, the Dream unveiled a rebrand of their logo and color scheme for their upcoming season. The Dream was originally scheduled to start play its home games at the new Gateway Center Arena at College Park, electing to move from State Farm Arena in the 2019 off-season. The WNBA season was to have a 36-game schedule, which would have been the most games in a season in league history. However, the plan for expanded games was put on hold on April 3, when the WNBA postponed its season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Under a plan approved on June 15, the league is scheduled to hold a shortened 22-game regular season at IMG Academy, without fans present, starting on July 24. Nicki Collen
Nicki Collen (née Taggart; born May 13, 1975) is an American basketball coach and is currently the head women's basketball coach at Baylor University. Early life Collen was born in Indiana and her family moved to Platteville, Wisconsin when she was 10 years old. While living in Wisconsin, Collen attended basketball camps with Bo Ryan. Playing career Collen began her playing career at Purdue, where she was on a team that made consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances in 1994 and 1995 and won consecutive Big 10 Championships. During her junior year, she transferred to Marquette, where she led the team to consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. Brittany Brewer
Brittany Brewer (born November 6, 1997) is an American professional basketball player. She played in college for the Texas Tech Lady Raiders of the Big 12 Conference. Brewer is the 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year. She was also selected as a First-team Academic All-American in 2019. College career Brewer started 17 games in each of her freshman and sophomore seasons with the Lady Raiders. In the 2018–19 season, she started all 31 games as a junior and added 3-point shootings to her repertoire; averaging 34.3% on 99 attempts while attempting none in her prior two years. Glory Bassey Johnson (born July 27, 1990) is an American basketball player for Turkish club Beşiktaş. Born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, she went to Webb School Of Knoxville and played collegiately for the University of Tennessee Lady Vols. Kalani Brown (born March 21, 1997) is an American professional basketball player for the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and for Hatayspor. The Los Angeles Sparks (LA Sparks) are an American professional basketball team based in Los Angeles. Clemson Tigers Women's Basketball
The Clemson Tigers women's basketball team represents Clemson University in women's college basketball competition. The Tigers compete in NCAA Division I as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Clemson won the ACC women's basketball tournament in 1996 and 1999, and won the ACC regular season title in 1981. They are coached by Amanda Butler, who is in her fourth year with the team.
