2019–20 Y-League
The 2019–20 Y-League season (also known as the 2019–20 Foxtel Y-League season for sponsorship reasons) was the twelfth season of the Australian Y-League, the premier national competition for youth football in the country. Teams Ten teams competed in the league – the same ten from the previous season – divided into two conferences. The competition ran from 16 November 2019 to 31 January 2020. Conference A Conference A contains teams from outside of New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. Conference B Conference B contains teams from New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. Y-League
A-League Youth, formerly known as the National Youth League and Y-League, is an Australian national soccer youth developmental and under-21s league, founded by Football Federation Australia and now run by the Australian Professional Leagues. The current league was established as a successor to the previous competition of the National Youth League (1984–2004) and commenced in August 2008. The league runs in conjunction with the A-League Men as a developmental or reserve league. The league, as well as the A-League Men and A-League Women are administered by the Australian Professional Leagues. In 2020 it was contested by ten teams, all of which competed in the A-League. From the 2020–21 season, the league was to expand to eleven teams with the introduction of Western United, however the season was cancelled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia. Lambert Park (Leichhardt)
Lambert Park is a purpose-built soccer stadium in Leichhardt, New South Wales, Australia. It is the home ground of the APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC, APIA Leichhardt, and the Sydney FC Youth who participate in the National Youth League (Australia), National Youth League. The stadium is peculiar in that it runs east to west, rather than north to south. The stadium has a nominal capacity of 7000, with 2000 seated in two main stands on either side of the playing field. In the southern of these stands there are dressing room facilities, a social club with views of the game, press facilities and media facilities. The northern stand runs the full length of the playing field, seating around 1200 spectators in 8 rows. Newcastle Jets Youth is the youth system of Newcastle Jets Football Club based Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. The academy teams play in the A-League Youth, NSW League Two (in youth team & U20) and Football NSW Youth League Two (U18, U16, U15, U14 & U13 age brackets). Youth team history The team was founded in 2008, as a Newcastle Jets representative team for the inaugural season of the National Youth League/Y-League/A-League Youth competition. Deakin Stadium is an association football ground located in the south-central Canberra suburb of Deakin, ACT. It is the home ground of Canberra Croatia FC in the NPL ACT. Primary Use Canberra FC are the primary tenants of Deakin Stadium.
