2019–20 Segunda División Pro (women)
The 2019–20 Segunda División Pro, named Reto Iberdrola for sponsorship reasons, was the inaugural season edition of the new Spanish women's football second-tier league. The league started on 7 September 2019 and will end on 17 May 2020. On 6 May 2020, the Royal Spanish Football Federation announced the premature end of the league, revoking relegations and naming Eibar and Santa Teresa as promoted teams. Teams and locations 32 teams took part, 30 moving up from the 2018–19 Segunda División and 2 relegated from the 2018–19 Primera División. Atlántida Matamá resigned to its place in the league. Sporting Gijón occupied its place as the next qualified team in their group from the previous season. Deportivo Alavés, S.A.D. (; ''Sporting Alavés''), usually known as Alavés, is a Spanish football club based in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Álava, in the autonomous community of the Basque Country. Founded on 23 January 1921 as Sport Friend's Club, The club competes in La Liga, the top tier of Spanish football. Real Sporting de Gijón, S.A.D. (), commonly known as Real Sporting, Sporting Gijón, or simply Sporting is a Spanish professional association football, football club from Gijón, Principality of Asturias. The 2018–19 Primera División Femenina de Fútbol was the 31st edition of Spain's highest women's football league. The season started on 3 September 2018 and ended on 11 May 2019. Zaragoza Club de Fútbol Femenino, formerly known as ''Club Deportivo Transportes Alcaine'' for sponsorship reasons, is a Spanish women's association football, football team from Zaragoza playing in Segunda Federación (women), Segunda Federación. Real Sporting de Gijón Femenino is the women's football team of Asturian football club Sporting de Gijón.
