2019–20 Pro A Season
The 2019–20 Pro A season, for sponsorships reasons the Jeep Élite, was the 98th season of the Pro A, the top basketball league in France organised by the Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB). It was the third season with Jeep as main sponsor. The season started on 21 September 2019. On 31 March 2020, the league was suspended until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 27 May 2020, the league was declared void and cancelled. No champion was named for the first time in the history of the league. Teams Promotion and relegation Fos Provence and Antibes Sharks were relegated after the 2018–19 season after the teams ended in the last two places. Roanne and Orléans were promoted from the Pro B League. 2018–19 Pro A Season
The 2018–19 Pro A season, for sponsorships reasons the Jeep Élite, was the 97th season of the Pro A, the top basketball league in France organised by the Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB). It was the second season with Jeep as main sponsor. The season started on 21 September 2018 with the regular season and ended on 25 June 2019 with the last game of the finals. LDLC ASVEL won its nineteenth French championship and its first one since 2016. In the finals, they defeated Monaco. Teams Promotion and relegation Hyères-Toulon and Boulazac Basket Dordogne were relegated after the 2017–18 season after the teams ended in the last two places. Blois promoted by finishing first in the regular season with a 27–7 record in the Pro B. Fos Provence made its Pro A debut after promoting, as Fos defeated Roanne in the finals of the promotion play-offs. Olympique Antibes, in full ''Olympique d'Antibes Juan-les-Pins'' and branded as Antibes Sharks, is a basketball club from the city of Antibes, France. Established in 1933, the club's men's senior team currently plays in LNB Pro B, the French second division. The club has won the French championship three times, the last being in 1995. History The basketball team rose to prominence in the years 1950–60. Fos Provence Basket, also known as Fos-sur-mer, is a professional basketball team based in Fos-sur-mer, France. The team currently plays in the first tier LNB Pro A, after its promotion in the 2020–21 season. Home games are played in the Complexe sportif Parsemain, which has a capacity of 2,000 people. History The club was founded on 13 January 1972 as Frat Fosséenne by its founders Paul Bruyère and Jean Lovato. On 18 January 2020, Fos received Saint-Quentin Basket-Ball at the Palais des Sports in Marseille and set its attendance record with 3,384 spectators. On 15 June 2018, Fos Provence promoted to the first-tier LNB Pro A for the first time in history, after defeating Roanne in the finals of the promotion play-offs. Étoile Sportive Saint-Michel Le Portel Côte d'Opale, commonly known as ESSM Le Portel or simply Le Portel, is a professional basketball team based in Le Portel, France.
