2019–20 National First Division
The 2019–20 National First Division (called the GladAfrica Championship for sponsorship reasons) is the season from August 2019 to May 2020 of South Africa's second tier of professional soccer, the National First Division. For this season, the National First Division received new sponsorship from GladAfrica, with prize money being substantially increased to R3 million for the winners, R1.5 million for the runners up and R1 million for the third-placed team. National First Division
The National First Division (NFD), officially known as the Motsepe Foundation Championship for sponsorship reasons, is the second-highest league of South African club football after the South African Premier Division. Both the NFD and South African Premier Division are organised by the Premier Soccer League. Structure and rules Seasons 2007–2011 The restructured NFD was divided into two streams, one inland and another coastal – each of which consisted of 8 teams. The winners of the two streams played against each other in a 'final' at the end of the season – the winner of which was promoted to the PSL. The loser of the 'final' played in a mini-tournament/play-offs against the two second-placed teams in each stream and the 15th-placed team on the PSL log. The winner of this tournament was also be automatically promoted to the top flight. KaNyamazane Stadium
KaNyamazane Stadium, formerly also named Lekazi Stadium, is a multi-use stadium in the KaNyamazane township, South Africa. It is situated 2.5km from Mthethomusha Game Reserve -also referred to as the SouthWestern corner of Kruger National Park; which is roughly 25km East of Nelspruit, in the Mpumalanga province. The stadium received a significant upgrade from May 2009 to May 2010. Currently, and throughout its previous history, the stadium is used mostly for local events and football matches. However, it was not picked by any teams at the three highest levels of South African football in 2008-10. Soshanguve is a township situated about 30 km north of Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa along Mabopane, and Ga-Rankuwa. The name Soshanguve is an acronym for Sotho, Shangaan, Nguni and Venda, thus showing the multi-ethnic composition of the population.
