The 2019–20 Lebanese Women's Football League was the 13th edition of the Lebanese Women's Football League since it was formed in 2008. Defending champions SAS won their fifth title, after beating EFP 4–2 in the final matchday of the season. Safa, who made their debut, came second. Lebanese Women's Football League
The Lebanese Women's Football League () is the only league of women's football in Lebanon. It is run by the Lebanese Football Association and began in May 2008, with six teams participating in the debut season. As of the 2024–25 season, nine teams participated in the league. History The first edition of the Lebanese Women's Football League was played in 2007–08. The first matchday began on 1 June 2008 and six teams participated; Sadaka won the first edition. Yara Bou Rada
Yara Antoine Bou Rada (; born 7 August 2000) is a Lebanese footballer who plays as a forward. Club career Born in Zgharta, Lebanon, Bou Rada began her career at hometown club Salam Zgharta's boys youth sector aged seven. She remained at the club when they formed a girls sector, and made her U17 debut in 2015. After playing for the U19s, she made her Lebanese Women's Football League debut in 2016. After two seasons at Salam Zgharta, Bou Rada joined reigning league champions Stars Association for Sports (SAS) in 2018. She spent two seasons at the club, scoring 18 league goals and winning two league titles. On 20 October 2020, Bou Rada moved to Safa on a three-year contract. Alice Kusi
Alice Kusi (born 12 January 1995) is a Ghanaian footballer who plays as a midfielder for the Ghana national team. She competed for Ghana at the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations, playing in three matches. Club career Starting her career in Ghana at Fabulous Ladies, Kusi moved to Lebanese-based Zouk Mosbeh in 2017 one a one-year contract. In her only season in Lebanon, she won the league, cup and Super Cup, and was crowned top scorer of the league. Kusi returned to Fabulous Ladies in 2018 for one year. On 27 May 2019, Kusi moved to Jordanian champions Shabab Al-Ordon on a one-year contract. Lili Iskandar
Layla Pascal "Lili" Iskandar (; born 16 May 2002) is a Lebanese footballer who plays as a forward for the Lebanon national team. Starting out at Salam Zgharta in 2018–19, Iskandar moved to reigning champions SAS. In her first season at the club ( 2019–20), she helped SAS lift their fifth league title, scoring 15 goals in the process. Iskandar joined Danish side HB Køge for the 2021–22 season. In 2022 she moved to Etihad in Jordan, winning the 2023 league title as top goalscorer (14 goals). At the end of the season, Iskandar joined Saudi club Al-Ittihad. Ghiya Mtairek
Ghiya Mohamad Mtairek (; born 9 January 2000) is a Lebanese long-distance runner and former footballer. Football career Mtairek played for Terdeba Stars in the 2018–19 season, scoring four goals. She remained at the club during the 2019–20 season, when they changed their name to Southern Stars; she scored 16 goals. On 1 July 2020, Mtairek joined Super Girls. Mtairek made her senior international debut for Lebanon on 8 April 2021, coming on as a substitute in a friendly tournament against Armenia. Running career Mtairek is also a long-distance runner. Nathalie Georges Matar (; born 20 September 1995) is a Lebanese footballer who plays as a midfielder for French club USPSO and captains the Lebanon national team. Club career Matar began playing in the Lebanese Women's Football League aged 15, in 2010. In 2022 Matar moved to France to resume her studies, joining Régional 1 Féminine (fourth division) club Grand Calais Pascal on 14 July 2022. Southern Stars Club (), also known as Stars of South or Noujoum Al Janoub, is a women's association football club based in Tayr Debba, Lebanon. Founded in 2018 as Terdeba Stars, they compete in the Lebanese Women's Football League. History Southern Stars were founded on 1 August 2018 as Terdeba Stars (), and first competed in the 2018–19 Lebanese Women's Football League; they finished in fourth place in Group A in their debut season.
