2019–20 Cleveland Cavaliers Season
The 2019–20 Cleveland Cavaliers season was the 50th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Cavaliers replaced Larry Drew, with former Michigan Wolverines men's basketball coach John Beilein on May 13. On February 19, 2020, after beginning the season with a 14–40 record, Beilein resigned as head coach after only 54 games at the helm. J. B. Bickerstaff, who served as an assistant coach and associate head coach, was named head coach. The season was suspended by the league officials following the games of March 11 after it was reported that Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz tested positive for COVID-19. On June 4, it was announced that the NBA had approved a return to play for 22 teams in the NBA Bubble. The Cavaliers, with the league's second-worst record at the time of the season's suspension, were not among them, effectively ending the team's season. John Beilein
John Patrick Beilein ( ; born February 5, 1953) is an American professional basketball coach who currently serves as the Senior Player Development Advisor for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Before being hired by Detroit, Beilein served as the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Prior to joining the Cavaliers, he coached the Michigan Wolverines (2007–2019), West Virginia Mountaineers (2002–2007), Richmond Spiders (1997–2002), Canisius Golden Griffins (1992–1997) in NCAA Division I as well as Le Moyne College (1983–1992), Nazareth College (1982–1983) and Erie Community College (1978–1982). The Vanderbilt Commodores men's basketball team represents Vanderbilt University in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The Commodores have won three SEC regular-season titles ( 1965, 1974 and 1993) and two SEC Tournament championships ( 1951 and 2012). Collin Sexton
Collin Darnell Sexton (born January 4, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Alabama Crimson Tide. In January 2017 Sexton was selected as a McDonald's All-American. The 2019–20 Detroit Pistons season was the 79th season of the franchise, the 72nd in the National Basketball Association (NBA), and the third in Midtown Detroit. This was the second season under head coach Dwane Casey. On March 11, 2020, the season was suspended by the NBA due to the COVID-19 pandemic after it was reported Rudy Gobert tested positive. On June 4, 2020, the season came to an end for the Pistons when the NBA Board of Governors approved a plan that would restart the season with 22 teams returning to play in the NBA Bubble on July 31, 2020, which was approved by the National Basketball Players Association the next day. Cedi Osman (born 8 April 1995) is a Turkish professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He plays the small forward position. Lindsay Catherine Gottlieb (born October 2, 1977) is an American basketball coach who is the women's head coach for the USC Trojans of the Pac-12 Conference.
