2019–20 Bashundhara Kings Season
The 2019–20 season is Bashundhara Kings's 3rd professional season since its creation in 2013, and its second consecutive season in the top-flight of Bangladesh football. The season began on 13 February 2020 and was suspended on 15 March 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Bangladesh. On 17 May 2020, the league was declared void by the BFF executive committee. Summary On 3 September 2019, Kings took another step in their bid to bolster their star-studded squad for the upcoming season by completing the signing of rising Lebanon International striker Mohamed Jalal Kdouh. On 22 October 2019, Gokulam Kerala FC of India made a flying start in the eight-team 2019 Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup upsetting Kings by 3-1 goals in their first match. Bashundhara Kings ( bn, বসুন্ধরা কিংস) is a professional football team based in Bashundhara Residential Area, Dhaka, Bangladesh. They clinched the title of the 2017 Bangladesh Championship League, the second tier of the professional football league, in their maiden appearance. History Inception The club started their football journey with 2016 DCC (N&S) Pioneer League, where they finished the league at 3rd position. The club were promoted to Third Division Football League but they decided to play Bangladesh Championship League, which is the second-tier league of the country, by fulfilling all the conditions to participate. In March 2017, the club got green signal from Bangladesh Football Federation to participate. On 13 May 2017 the club completed their player registration for 2017 Bangladesh Championship League. 2019 Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup
The 2019 Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup, also known as ''Sheikh Kamal Gold Cup 2019'', was the 3rd edition of Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup, an international club football tournament hosted by the Chittagong Abahani in association with the Bangladesh Football Federation. This tournament will take place at the M. A. Aziz Stadium in the port city of Chittagong from 19 October to 30 October 2019. Participation fees for each team are US$10,000 and the champion of the tournament will be awarded US$50,000 and the runner-up will be awarded US$25,000. Terengganu are the current trophy holder. Jonathan da Silveira Fernandes Reis (born 21 February 1995), simply known as Fernandes, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. Bangladesh Federation Cup
Federation Cup, also known as Bangladesh Federation Cup, is Bangladesh's premier cup competition in men's association football. The competition started in 1980 and is run by the Bangladesh Football Federation which is responsible for all types of competitive matches in the country. The teams from the country's premier league and other clubs compete in the tournament while occasionally Indian sides were invited in the past.
