2019 World Table Tennis Championships – Mixed Doubles
The mixed doubles competition of the 2019 World Table Tennis Championships was held from 22 to 26 April 2019. Maharu Yoshimura and Kasumi Ishikawa were the defending champions. Ishikawa initially teamed up with Tomokazu Harimoto, but Harimoto was replaced by Yoshimura due to an injury. Xu Xin and Liu Shiwen won the title after defeating Maharu Yoshimura and Kasumi Ishikawa 11–5, 11–8, 9–11, 11–9, 11–4. Mima Ito
is a Japanese table tennis player. She won a bronze medal in the Women's Team event at the 2016 Summer Olympics when she was 15 years old. At the 2020 Summer Olympics, she won the gold medal with her partner Jun Mizutani in the Mixed Doubles event which made its debut, a bronze medal in the Women's singles, and a silver medal in the Women's Team event. Often termed as the 'greatest threat' to Chinese table tennis dominance, Ito Mima has the highest winning rate against Chinese players in the history of women's table tennis. Stefan Fegerl (born 12 September 1988 in Gmünd) is an Austrian table tennis player. Choi Hyo-joo
Choi Hyo-joo (, born 4 April 1998) is a Chinese-born South Korean table tennis player. Born in China as Yao Yao (), she became a naturalized South Korean citizen in November 2013. She will be representing South Korea at the team event in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Jang Woo-jin (born 10 September 1995) is a South Korean table tennis player. He plays for Mirae Asset Daewoo table tennis team. Career Junior Jang started playing international matches from the South Korean cadet boys' team in 2009 – Bahrain Junior Open held in Manama, Bahrain. He won boys' singles title at the 2013 World Junior Table Tennis Championships. 2018 He won the gold medal in 2018 Korea Open held at Daejeon, South Korea without even having been a seeded player at the start of the tournament. Galyna Volodymyrivna "Galia" Dvorak Khasanova ( uk, Галина Володимирівна Дворжака Хасанова; born 1 April 1988) is a Spanish table tennis player. She was born in Kyiv, but her family moved to Spain when she was two. Both of her parents (Vladimir Dvorak and Flora Khasanova) were also international table tennis players. She won a bronze medal in the women's team event at the 2009 Mediterranean Games in Pescara, Italy. Lee Ho Ching (born 24 November 1992) is a Hong Kong table tennis player. She qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, and was selected to represent Hong Kong in the women's singles and the women's team. Cheng I-ching (; born 15 February 1992) is a Taiwanese table tennis player. She competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the women's singles event, in which she was eliminated in the quarterfinals by Li Xiaoxia, and as part of the Chinese Taipei team in the women's team event.
