2019 World Rally Championship-2
The 2019 FIA World Rally Championship-2 was the seventh season of the World Rally Championship-2, an auto racing championship for rally cars that is recognised by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile as the second-highest tier of international rallying. The category was created when the Group R class of rally car was introduced in 2013 and runs in support of the World Rally Championship. The championship is open to cars complying with R5 regulations. The 2019 season saw the creation of a new class within the championship, known as the World Rally Championship-2 Pro. The Pro class was open to manufacturer entries competing in cars built to R5 specifications, while the wider World Rally Championship-2 was open to privately entered cars. World Rally Championship-2
The FIA WRC2 (previously also known as World Rally Championship 2 and WRC 2), is a support championship of the World Rally Championship. The calendar consists of the same rallies and stages as the main class and crews usually compete immediately after. WRC2 is limited to production-based cars homologated under Group Rally2 (or previous R5) rules. There are separate specific championship titles awarded to Teams, Drivers and Co-Drivers (including titles for ''Challengers'' in 2023, previously for Juniors under 30 years old). Yoann Bonato
Yoann Bonato (born 13 May 1983) is a French rally driver. He currently competes in the French Rally Championship and the WRC-2, the premier support category of the World Rally Championship, with customer Citroën team CHL Sport Auto. He also works as a development driver for Citroën's in-house customer support team PH Sport. Bonato won the French Rally Championship outright in 2017, 2018 and 2020, earning the title of "Champion of France." After winning the French Rally Championship in 2017, PH Sport hired Bonato to be part of a team of drivers that would help Citroën develop a new R5 variant of their WRC car, the Citroën C3. Tamara Molinaro (born 10 October 1997) is an Italian rally driver who currently serves as the official championship reserve driver for the Extreme E.
