2019 World Grand Prix
The 2019 World Grand Prix (officially the 2019 Coral World Grand Prix) was a professional snooker tournament that took place from 4 to 10 February 2019 at The Centaur, Cheltenham Racecourse in Cheltenham, England. It was the twelfth ranking event of the 2018/2019 season and a part of the newly created Coral Cup. Judd Trump won his 10th ranking title, beating Ali Carter 10–6 in the final. Coral (bookmaker)
Coral is a chain of betting shops in the United Kingdom, owned by Entain. The Coral business was established by Joe Coral in 1926. It grew into an entertainment conglomerate before undergoing a series of ownership changes starting in 1981. As of 2015, Coral had 1,845 shops across the country. Coral Cup (snooker)
The Players Series is a bonus competition for players who have earned the most money in a series of professional snooker tournaments. The series involves three events: the World Grand Prix, Players Championship and Tour Championship. It was established in 2019. Overview In the 2018–19 and 2019–20 seasons, the series was sponsored by Coral and was called the Coral Cup. In the 2020–21 and 2021–22 seasons, it was sponsored by Cazoo and named the Cazoo Series. In the 2022–23 season, it was sponsored by crypto casino Duelbits and named the Duelbits Series. Stuart Bingham
Stuart Bingham (born 21 May 1976) is an English professional snooker player who is a former World Champion and Masters winner. Bingham won the 1996 World Amateur Championship but enjoyed little sustained success in the early part of his professional career. His form improved in his mid-thirties: at age 35, he won his first ranking title at the 2011 Australian Goldfields Open, which helped him enter the top 16 in the rankings for the first time. Jack Lisowski
Jack Lisowski (born 25 June 1991) is an English professional snooker player from Churchdown, Gloucestershire. He turned professional in 2010 by finishing first in the 2009/2010 International Open Series, PIOS rankings. A left-handed player, he is known for his attacking style of play. Lisowski has reached six ranking finals but has been runner-up each time, losing three finals to Judd Trump, two to Neil Robertson and one to Mark Selby. David Gilbert (snooker Player)
David Gilbert (born 12 June 1981) is an English professional snooker player who has won one ranking title. Never having previously been beyond the last 16 of a ranking event, Gilbert reached the final of the 2015 International Championship where he lost 5–10 to John Higgins. On 22 January 2019 he hit the milestone of the 147th maximum break, in the 2019 Championship League, Championship League. Kyren James Wilson (; born 23 December 1991) is an English professional snooker player from Kettering. He has won 10 ranking titles. Mark James Williams (born 21March 1975) is a Welsh professional snooker player who is a three-time World Champion, winning the title in 2000, 2003 and 2018. Mark Allen (born 22 February 1986) is a Northern Irish professional snooker player from Antrim. He won the European and World Amateur Championship in 2004 and turned professional in 2005. Allen entered the world top 16 after only three seasons. 2019 German Masters
The 2019 German Masters (officially the 2019 D88.com German Masters) was a professional ranking snooker tournament, taking place from 30 January to 3 February 2019 in Berlin, Germany. The tournament was the eleventh ranking event of the 2018/2019 season. The event was won by Kyren Wilson, who won his third career ranking event, defeating David Gilbert in the final 9–7. Mark Williams was the defending champion, but he lost 5–0 to Kyren Wilson in the quarter-finals. Judd Trump made his fourth career maximum break, in the second qualifying round of the event, in his 5–0 win over Lukas Kleckers.
