2019 Vietnam Open (badminton)
The 2019 Vietnam Open (officially known as the Yonex-Sunrise Vietnam Open 2019 for sponsorship reasons) was a badminton tournament which took place at Nguyen Du Cultural Sports Club in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from 10 to 15 September 2019 and had a total purse of $75,000. Tournament The 2019 Vietnam Open was the seventh Super 100 tournament of the 2019 BWF World Tour and also part of the Vietnam Open championships, which had been held since 1996. This tournament was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Badminton Association and sanctioned by the BWF. Venue This tournament was held at Nguyen Du Cultural Sports Club in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Liew Daren
Liew Daren (born 6 August 1987) is a Malaysian badminton player. His biggest success to date is having won the 2012 French Open Super Series. He reached a career high ranking of World No.10. He also represented Malaysia competed at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games and 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games. Early life Liew was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and was educated at the Taman Midah Primary School. He began playing badminton at the age of seven. His brother was once a national badminton player. Liew started to play badminton professionally in 1998. Career During the 2012 Thomas Cup quarter-final, he was defeated by Lin Dan from China, but not before he brought it into a rubber game of 21–17, 9–21 and 5–21. Lei Lanxi (; born 25 January 1998) is a Chinese badminton player. He won a gold medal at the 2016 BWF World Junior Championships in the mixed team event. Early life Lei was born in Dongguan, Guangdong. He started playing badminton at the age of 9 and entered the Dongguan Sports School, where he received scholarship from Tang Xianhu. Career In 2016, Lei competed in the BWF World Junior Championships mixed team event and was selected to play against the Armenian team in the group stage. Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin
Iskandar Zulkarnain bin Zainuddin (born 24 May 1991) is a Malaysian badminton player and coach. He represented Malaysia as the third singles in the 2018 Thomas Cup and helped Malaysia qualify for the quarter finals. Iskandar was appointed as part of the Irish badminton coaching staff in 2021. Minoru Koga
is a Japanese badminton player. He was the mixed doubles gold medalist at the 2013 Asian Youth Games partnered with Akane Yamaguchi. Koga was part of the national junior team that won the bronze medals at the 2014 Asian and World Junior Championships. Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo (born 15 June 1998) is an Indonesian professional badminton player. He was a World junior silver medalist in 2016 and Asian Championships bronze medalist in 2022. Dwi Wardoyo also part of Indonesia winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup. Lucas Maurice Corvée (born 9 June 1993) is a French badminton player affiliated with Issy Les Moulineaux 92 club. Corvée started playing badminton at aged 6 in Alençon badminton club. His mother also a professional badminton player.
