2019 Ulster Senior Club Football Championship
The 2019 Ulster Senior Club Football Championship was the 52nd instalment of the annual competition organised by Ulster GAA. It was one of the four provincial competitions of the 2019–20 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship. Gaoth Dobhair from Donegal were the 2018 champions following their victory in the final over Monaghan's Scotstown. They didn't get to defend the title after losing the Donegal county final to Naomh Conaill. Down kings Kilcoo were crowned Ulster champions for the first time, defeating Naomh Conaill in the final. The flag of Ulster, Ireland consists of a red cross on a gold background with a red hand on a white shield in the centre. History The flag of Ulster came about when Walter de Burgh, 1st Earl of Ulster became Earl of Ulster in 1264. He merged the family arms (heraldry) of the ancient Anglo-Norman and Hiberno-Norman noble dynasty, the House of Burgh (which was a red cross on a yellow background) with that of the Red Hand of Ulster of the Irish over-kingdom of Ulaid, which the earldom encompassed. The de Burgh family heraldry is said to have come about after Hubert de Burgh, 1st Earl of Kent had fought in the Third Crusade but had no coat of arms himself. He carried a gold coloured shield into battle. Ulster Senior Club Football Championship
The Ulster Senior Club Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football tournament organised by Ulster GAA. It is played between the Senior championship winners from each of the nine counties of Ulster. The competition was first held in 1968 and has a straight knock-out format. The winners are awarded the Seamus McFerran Cup (). The winners go on to represent Ulster in the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship. Derry GAA, Derry clubs have won the competition seventeen times, more than any other county. Crossmaglen Rangers GAC, Crossmaglen Rangers are the most successful club, having won the competition eleven times. The current champions are Errigal Ciarán GAC, Errigal Ciarán from Tyrone, having beaten Kilcoo GAC, Kilcoo in the 2024 final. Erin's Own GAC, Cargin
Erin's Own Gaelic Athletic Club, Cargin is a sports club based in Toome, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It competes in the Antrim leagues and championships of the Gaelic Athletic Association, in Gaelic football and camogie. Erin's Own provide Men's football (GAA), Ladies football (LGFA) and Camogie at all grades and age levels from Nursery to Senior level as well as Handball History Erin's Own Cargin, (Clann na hÉireann, Carraigín) based in Toome, Co Antrim, in the Parish of Duneane, was founded in 1923 on the Shore Road, Toome by a Priest from Tyrella, Ballykinlar, Co. 2019 Antrim Senior Football Championship
The 2018 Antrim Senior Football Championship is the 117th official edition of Antrim GAA's premier club gaelic football tournament for senior clubs in County Antrim. 13 teams compete with the winners receiving the Padraig McNamee Cup and representing Antrim in the Ulster Senior Club Football Championship. The Antrim championship has a straight knock-out format. Naomh Éanna and Gort na Móna returned to the S.F.C. this year after claiming the 2018 I.F.C. and I.F.L. titles respectively. Erin's Own Cargin were the defending champions after they defeated Creggan Kickhams in the 2018 final. Cavan GAA
The Cavan County Board () or Cavan GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) in Ireland, and is responsible for the administration of Gaelic games in County Cavan. The County Board is responsible for preparing the Cavan county teams in the various Gaelic sporting codes; football, hurling, camogie and handball. The Down County Board () or Down GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) in Ireland, and is responsible for the administration of Gaelic games in County Down. The County Board is responsible for preparing the Down county teams in the various Gaelic sporting codes; football, hurling, camogie and handball. The county football team was the second from the province of Ulster to win an All-Ireland Senior Football Championship (SFC), following Cavan, and also the first team from the North to win the Sam Maguire Cup since partition, doing so in 1960.
