The 2019 Toronto FC II season was the fifth season in the club's history. Having previously competed in the United Soccer League (since rebranded as the USL Championship), this was the club's first season in USL League One, the third tier of professional soccer in the United States. Toronto FC II
Toronto FC II is a Canadian professional soccer team based in Toronto, Ontario, who play in MLS Next Pro, a third tier league of the United States soccer league system. It is the reserve team and minor league affiliate of Toronto FC as well as in partnership with Toronto FC Academy. History Pre-history Upon their entrance into Major League Soccer, Toronto FC fielded their reserves in the MLS Reserve League from 2007 to 2013. In 2014, Toronto FC entered into a one-year partnership with the Wilmington Hammerheads of the USL to serve as their affiliate, with whom they would loan players to. Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium
Kino Sports Complex is a multiple-use sports complex in Tucson, Arizona. The Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago White Sox formerly utilized the complex's main ballpark, Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium, for Cactus League games each March and had their minor league complexes on-site. The ballpark was also home to the Tucson Sidewinders of the Pacific Coast League for the team's last decade in Tucson, running from the stadium's 1998 opening season to the 2008 season. The ballpark was a temporary home (2011–2013) to the Tucson Padres (formerly the Portland Beavers) of the Pacific Coast League during the team's relocation to El Paso, Texas. It was also the regular season home of the Pecos League's Tucson Saguaros baseball team from 2016 to 2017. Jordan Patrick Dear Hamilton (born March 17, 1996) is a Canadian soccer player who plays as a forward for Canadian Premier League club Forge FC. Playing career Youth Hamilton started playing with North Scarborough SC, before switching to Ajax SC. He made his U14 Ontario Provincial debut at the U14 All-Star Championships in Sherbrooke, Quebec. Trevor Swartz
Trevor Swartz (born October 1, 1995) is an American soccer coach who is currently an assistant coach at UNLV. He formerly was the head coach of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Stags. Early life Youth Swartz grew up in Cameron Park, California and enrolled at Ponderosa High School, playing soccer for Sacramento United and Placer United. He was invited to the High School Soccer "All America" game in 2013. College Swartz attended Indiana University, where he played college soccer as a midfielder for the Hoosiers from 2014–2018, tallying a total of 12 goals and 27 assists in 82 appearances. During his time at Indiana, Swartz was Second-Team All-Big Ten and led the NCAA in Total Assists and Assists per Game in 2018. Griffin Dorsey (born March 5, 1999) is an American soccer player who currently plays for the Houston Dynamo in Major League Soccer. Career Youth, College and Amateur Dorsey played three years with U.S. Soccer Development Academy side Colorado Rush SC. He played college soccer at Indiana University in 2017. Montverde Academy is a private PK–12 school in Montverde, Florida, United States. History The school was founded in 1912 as Montgomery Industrial School. The school president was Henry P. Carpenter. It underwent a major expansion in 1921, when two new buildings were built for a cost of almost $40,000, including a concrete block dormitory for 200 boys and a new dining hall. The expansion was funded by donations, including $11,000 from R. Jay Arnold of Groveland, Florida. This expansion brought the organization to a total of eight buildings on 200 acres and $150,000 worth of equipment.
