2019 Tormenta FC Season
The 2019 Tormenta FC season was the club's fourth season of existence, and their first season as a professional club. It was their first season playing in the third tier of American soccer, USL League One. Background In January 2018, Tormenta FC was announced as the first founding member of USL League One for 2019. The team had an undefeated regular season in 2018, clinching the USL League Two Deep South division championship. Tormenta FC
South Georgia Tormenta FC is an American soccer organization based in Statesboro, Georgia, United States. Founded in 2015, the club fields a professional team in USL League One, the third tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, as well as a pre-professional team in USL League Two called Tormenta FC 2 and a pre-professional team in USL W-League. The team colors are midnight navy, sky blue, silver, and magenta. The team's crest shows an ibis. History South Georgia Tormenta FC was founded in 2015 making it Statesboro's first pro team in any sport in 60 years, since the Statesboro Pilots of baseball's Georgia State League folded in 1955. Lars Konstantin Eckenrode (born March 24, 1995) is an American retired professional soccer player. Career College & Youth Eckenrode grew up in West Springfield, Virginia and played soccer for the West Springfield Spartans. After a decorated club and high school career, he attended the University of Michigan for four years, where he played for the Wolverines. Scoring once in 68 appearances, while also recording 2 assists, he was named to the Big Ten All-Rookie Team in 2013 and College Sports Madness Preseason All-Big Ten Team in 2014. City Stadium (Richmond)
City Stadium is a sports stadium in Richmond, Virginia. It is owned by the City of Richmond and is located south of the Carytown district off the Downtown Expressway. The stadium was built in 1929 and seats approximately 22,000 people when both stands are used. It has been used by the Richmond Kickers of USL League One since 1995, at a capacity of 6,000. The stadium was used by the University of Richmond for American football from 1929 to 2009.
