2019 Supercupa României
The 2019 Supercupa României was the 21st edition of Romania's season opener cup competition. The game was contested between Liga I title holders, CFR Cluj, and Romanian Cup holders, Viitorul Constanța. It was played at Ilie Oană Stadium in Ploiești in July. Viitorul Constanța won the trophy for the first time in history, with only one goal scored by Andrei Artean. Teams Venue On 22 May 2019 it was announced that the Supercup might be played on the newly built stadium Tudor Vladimirescu in Târgu Jiu, Romania. Supercupa României
The Supercupa României ( en, Romanian Supercup) is a Romanian football championship contested by the winners of the Liga I and the Cupa României. It is usually played at the Arena Națională in Bucharest. The competition started off in 1994, with the first edition being won by Steaua București. In 2010, for the first time in its history, the Supercup was held even though CFR Cluj had been victorious in both the league and the cup in the previous season. At that time, they faced Unirea Urziceni, the Liga I runners-up. The most successful performer so far has been FCSB with 6 wins, followed by Rapid București and CFR Cluj with 4 wins each up until 2021. Stadionul Tudor Vladimirescu (2018)
Stadionul Tudor Vladimirescu is a multi-purpose stadium in Târgu Jiu, Romania. It serves as the home ground of Viitorul Târgu Jiu. The facility can also be used for a variety of other activities such as track and field and concerts. The stadium replaced the former Stadionul Tudor Vladimirescu, being also named for Wallachian hero Tudor Vladimirescu. It was opened on 25 October 2019 when Gorj County native Constantina Diță cut the ribbon on new stadium. Mário Jorge Malico Paulino (born 10 November 1986), known as Camora, is a professional footballer who plays for and captains Liga I club CFR Cluj as a left-back. He spent most of his professional career at CFR Cluj in Romania, with which he won nine domestic throphies since signing in 2011. Previously, he totalled 66 matches in the Primeira Liga over four seasons, 64 of those with Naval.
