2019 Sun Belt Conference Football Season
The 2019 Sun Belt Conference football season was the 18th season of college football play for the Sun Belt Conference. It was played from August 29, 2019 until January 2020. The Sun Belt Conference consists of 10 members in two divisions. It was part of the 2019 NCAA Division I FBS football season. NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision
The NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), formerly known as Division I-A, is the highest level of college football in the United States. The FBS consists of the largest schools in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). As of the 2024 season, there are 10 conferences and 134 schools in FBS. College football is one of the most popular spectator sports throughout much of the United States. The top schools generate tens of millions of dollars in yearly revenue. Elijah Mitchell
Elijah I. Mitchell (born May 2, 1998) is an American professional football running back for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns. Early life Mitchell grew up in Erath, Louisiana and attended Erath High School, where he played high school football. Jacob Stephen Spavital (born May 1, 1985) is an American college football coach who is the offensive coordinator for the Baylor Bears. He previously served as the offensive coordinator at Cal Golden Bears in 2023. He currently serves as the offensive line and tight ends coach at UMS-Wright Preparatory School in Mobile, Alabama. Shawn Elliott (born June 26, 1973) is an American college football coach and former player who is currently the tight ends coach and run game coordinator at the University of South Carolina, a position he has held since the 2024 season.
