The 2019 Sun Belt Conference football season was the 18th season of college football play for the Sun Belt Conference. It was played from August 29, 2019 until January 2020. The Sun Belt Conference consists of 10 members in two divisions. It was part of the 2019 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), formerly known as Division I-A, is the highest level of college football in the United States. Elijah I. Mitchell (born May 2, 1998) is an American professional football running back for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). Jacob Stephen Spavital (born May 1, 1985) is an American college football coach who is the offensive coordinator for the Baylor Bears. He previously served as the offensive coordinator at Cal Golden Bears in 2023. Shawn Elliott (born June 26, 1973) is an American college football coach and former player who is currently the tight ends coach and run game coordinator at the University of South Carolina, a position he has held since the 2024 season.
