Doug Martin (American Football Coach)
Douglas Franklin Martin (born February 4, 1963) is an American football coach and former quarterback. He is the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Elon Phoenix football, Elon Phoenix, positions he has held since 2025. He was the head football coach for Kent State University from 2004 to 2010 and New Mexico State University from 2013 to 2021. He played college football at Kentucky Wildcats football, Kentucky for coach Fran Curci and Jerry Claiborne from 1981 to 1984. Coaching career East Carolina In 1992, Martin became an assistant coach at East Carolina University. He coached the Pirates tight ends and special teams his first two years and then took over the wide receivers. In 1996, he was promoted to offensive coordinator, a position he held until 2002. Mount Pleasant, Michigan
Mount Pleasant is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan. The city is the county seat of Isabella County, which is part of Central Michigan. The population of Mount Pleasant was 21,688 as of the 2020 census. The city is surrounded by Union Charter Township, but is politically independent. Part of the city (with a population of 8,741) is located within the Isabella Indian Reservation, the base of the federally recognized Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Nation. Kramer/Deromedi Field at Kelly/Shorts Stadium is an American football stadium in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. It serves as the home field for the Central Michigan University Chippewas. The stadium opened in 1972 and holds 35,127 spectators, making it the largest on-campus stadium in the Mid-American Conference. The New Mexico–New Mexico State football rivalry, known as the Battle of I-25 and the Rio Grande Rivalry in all sports, is an annual football game between the University of New Mexico and New Mexico State University. It is called the Battle of I-25 because the two universities are located along Interstate 25 connecting Albuquerque and Las Cruces. In the entire history of the rivalry, the game has never been contested anywhere beside those two cities.
