2019 Minnesota United FC Season
The 2019 Minnesota United FC season is the tenth season of Minnesota United FC's existence and their third season in Major League Soccer, the top-tier of American soccer. United plays at Allianz Field and is coached by Adrian Heath. Outside of MLS, Minnesota United will also participate in the 2019 U.S. Open Cup, as well as various preseason competitions. Minnesota United FC is an American professional soccer club based in Saint Paul, Minnesota that plays in the Western Conference of Major League Soccer. The club began play in 2017 as the league's 22nd club, and replaced the North American Soccer League (NASL) franchise of the same name. The club played its home games at TCF Bank Stadium, on the campus of the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, for its first two seasons in MLS play. Stade de Reims () is a French professional football club based in Reims. The club was formed in 1910 and plays in Ligue 1, the top level of Football in France, having been promoted from Ligue 2 in 2018. Reims plays home matches at the Stade Auguste Delaune and are managed by William Still. Romain Métanire
Romain Métanire (born 28 March 1990) is a professional footballer who plays as a defender. He has previously played in France for FC Metz and Stade de Reims, with whom he won Ligue 2 in 2017–18, as well as in Belgium with KV Kortrijk. Michael Boxall
Michael Joseph Boxall (born 18 August 1988) is a New Zealand footballer who currently plays for Minnesota United in Major League Soccer, and the New Zealand national football team. Early career in New Zealand For high school, Boxall attended and played for Mount Albert Grammar School. With Boxall anchoring the defence, Mount Albert won the league title in 2004 and 2005 and placed first at the national tournament in 2005. In his senior season in 2006, Boxall was named the team captain. He led the team to a second Knockout Cup title in three years. Brent Kallman (born October 4, 1990) is an American professional soccer player who plays for Major League Soccer club Minnesota United FC. Ikenna Martin "Ike" Opara (;born February 21, 1989) is an American former soccer player who is currently an assistant coach for Sporting Kansas City II in MLS Next Pro.
