2019 Lebanese Super Cup
The 2019 Lebanese Super Cup was the 20th Lebanese Super Cup, an annual football match played between the winners of the previous season's Lebanese Premier League and Lebanese FA Cup. As Ahed won both competitions in 2019, their opponents were the 2018–19 Lebanese Premier League runners-up, Ansar. The match was played at the Saida Municipal Stadium on 15 September 2019. Ahed defended the trophy they won in 2018, winning 2–1 thanks to an Ahmed Akaïchi brace. Match Summary Ansar opened the scoring in the 24th minute after Ahed defender Khalil Khamis scored in his own net after a cross from Hassan Chaito "Shibriko". Al Ansar Football Club ( ar, نادي الأنصار الرياضي, lit=The Supporters Sporting Club) is a football club based in Tariq El Jdideh, a district in Beirut, Lebanon, that competes in the . Formed in 1951, the club did not win its first Lebanese Premier League until 1988. They went on to set a world record by winning the league 11 seasons in a row. Ansar is the most successful club in the country, having won the Lebanese Premier League 14 times and the Lebanese FA Cup 15 times. Abbas Ali Atwi ( ar, عباس علي عطوي; born 15 December 1984), also known as Onika ( ar, أونيكا, links=no, also spelled Unica), is a Lebanese football coach and former player who is team manager of club Bourj. Club career Atwi joined Bourj's youth team aged 14; he made his senior debut in the Lebanese Second Division in 2000, in a 4–3 defeat against Ahed. Atwi moved to Lebanese Premier League side Olympic Beirut in 2002, with whom he won the domestic double (league and cup) in his first season. In 2005 Atwi signed for Ahed. Alfredo Juraidini Riloba (born 19 September 1994) is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a right-back. Mexican at birth, Juraidini also obtained Lebanese citizenship through his origins.
