The 2019 European Individual Speedway Junior Championship (also known as the 2019 Speedway European Under 21 Championship) was the 22nd edition of the Championship. The U21 final was staged at Rivne Speedway Stadium in Ukraine and was won by Wiktor Lampart of Poland. The U19 final was staged at Žarnovica in Slovakia and was won by Jan Kvěch of the Czech Republic. European Under-21 Individual Speedway Championship
The European Under-21 Individual Speedway Championship was an annual Motorcycle speedway, speedway event organised by FIM Europe (formerly the Union Européenne de Motocyclisme, European Motorcycle Union (UEM)) from 1977 to 1988 and again from 2013 to 2020. Championship history Between 1977 and 1988 the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, FIM organised the European Under-21 Championship. After deciding to allow non-European competitors, the competition was renamed the Speedway Under-21 World Championship. The European U21 Championship returned between 2013 and 2020, when the European Under-19 Individual Speedway Championship was expanded to include riders up to the age of 21 years of age. Jason Edwards (born 14 September 2002) is a British speedway rider. Career In 2017, Edwards made a number of guest appearances at reserve after he turned 15 as he was then eligible to ride. He made his National league debut for Lakeside Hammers on 29 September 2017 against Belle Vue Colts, he had an excellent debut scoring 9+1 from 5 rides. Edwards made more appearances for Lakeside and also rode some meetings for Eastbourne Eagles. In 2018, he moved from reserve into the main Eastbourne team for the first time, riding at number 2 for the rest of the season. Edwards also won the League and cup double with Eastbourne defeating Mildenhall Fen Tigers in both finals. Additionally he rode for the Cradley team that only competed in the National Trophy. He helped the Heathens finish top of the North group taking them to the final against Mildenhall.
