Jesse Mustonen
Jesse Mustonen (24 November 1995) is a Finnish motorcycle speedway rider. Career Mustonen started his career mainly as a longtrack rider and he reached the final of the 2014 Team Long Track World Championship, where Finland finished fourth just outside the medal placings. He continued to represent Finland and won a bronze medal the following year at the 2015 Team Long Track World Championship and despite top scoring for Finland in 2016 and 2017 they were placed outside the medals. In the Individual Speedway Long Track World Championship he reached the final five years running from 2016 to 2020 and managed a best place finish of 8th. He represented Finland at the 2019 Speedway of Nations and again at the 2022 Speedway of Nations. Also in 2022, he became the national champion of Finland after winning the Finnish Individual Speedway Championship. Dave Meijerink (born 23 March 2000) is a long track rider, grasstrack racer and motorcycle speedway from the Netherlands. Career Meijerink was beginning to impress in the Netherlands during 2017 but came to prominence when he reached the finals of both the 2018 Team Long Track World Championship and the 2018 Individual Long Track World Championship. He finished just outside the medal placings in the former, finishing in fourth place. He repeated the fourth-place finish in the 2022 Team Long Track World Championship. Meijerink has concentrated solely on Long track racing and grasstrack racing in recent years and finished 16th in the 2022 Individual Long Track World Championship and competed in the 2023 Individual Long Track World Championship. Stephan Katt
Stephan Katt (born 15 September 1979) is a German former speedway rider. He competed in grasstrack, longtrack and motorcycle speedway. He earned one international cap for the German national speedway team. Career Katt was a member of Germany national long track team and is a six times World Team Champion. In addition, he also won the German national longtrack championship three times. He rode in Britain for Somerset Rebels in 2003 and from 2006 to 2008. In 2023, he was part of the German team, along with Erik Riss, Martin Smolinski and Jörg Tebbe, that won the silver medal at the 2023 Team Long Track World Championship. Romano Hummel (born 4 January 1999) is an international speedway rider from the Netherlands. Speedway career Hummel became the Long Track World Champion, after winning the 2021 Individual Long Track World Championship. He had previously won a bronze medal at the 2017 Team Long Track World Championship. He rode in the 2016 Premier League speedway season of British Speedway in 2016, riding for the Berwick Bandits. Zach Wajtknecht
Zach Wajtknecht (born 8 February 1998) is a motorcycle speedway rider from Great Britain. Career At an early age Wajtknecht became a double World Champion, twice triumphing in the FIM 125cc Grasstrack Youth Gold Trophy. He followed up these successes by being crowned British 250cc Youth Champion in 2013 and winner of the FIM 250cc Longtrack Youth World Cup in 2014. These successes led to Zach being awarded the prestigious Pinhard trophy, a trophy he described himself as being "over the moon" to win. Wajtknecht was handed his big break in speedway by the newly reformed National League Birmingham Brummies ahead of the 2015 season, the team's first season in the third tier of British Speedway. The team was put together by former manager Phil Morris, the newly appointed FIM Race Director for the Speedway Grand Prix series. Bernd Diener
Bernd Diener (born 19 June 1959) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Germany. He competed in Speedway, Longtrack and Grasstrack and is a two times World longtrack team champion. Career Diener has twice been on the podium in the World Longtrack Championship 1996 & 2004. He became a team World longtrack team champion in 2008 and 2012 respectively. Diener won the European Grasstrack Championship in 1999. Diener won the German national longtrack championship in 2000 and went on to finish fifth in the World Championship that year. Diener won the German championship silver medal three times and bronze medal seven times spanning the years 1995 to 2019. Diener retired in 2023. Andrew Appleton (born 18 June 1982) is an English motorcycle racer. Career Appleton competes in grasstrack, longtrack and speedway. Speedway Appleton's first full season in the British leagues was when he rode for Newport Wasps during the 1999 Premier League speedway season. The Welsh team enjoyed a good season finishing runner-up to Sheffield Tigers. He was part of the Oxford Cheetahs title winning team during the 2001 Elite League speedway season.
