2019 India Open (badminton)
The 2019 India Open (officially known as the Yonex-Sunrise India Open 2019 for sponsorship reasons) was a badminton tournament which took place at K. D. Jadhav Indoor Hall in India from 26 to 31 March 2019 and had a total purse of $350,000. Tournament The 2019 India Open was the eighth tournament of the 2019 BWF World Tour and also part of the India Open championships, which had been held since 2008. The K. D. Jadhav Indoor Hall, formerly known as the Indraprashtha Stadium and Indira Gandhi Arena (officially Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium), is located at the Indraprastha Estate in the eastern region of New Delhi. The BWF World Ranking is the official ranking of the Badminton World Federation for badminton players who participate in tournaments sanctioned by Badminton World Federation. Brice Leverdez (born 9 April 1986) is a French badminton player. He was a champion at the 2013 Mediterranean Games, won a silver medal at the 2015 European Games, and a bronze medal at the 2018 European Championships. Career Leverdez started playing badminton at aged 12, and continued after that at the club, then in 2008, he joined France national badminton team.
