2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup
The 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup was the eighth edition of the FIFA Women's World Cup, the quadrennial international Women's association football, football championship contested by 24 List of women's national association football teams, women's national teams representing member associations of FIFA. It took place between 7 June and 7 July 2019, with 52 matches staged in nine cities in France, which was awarded the right to host the event in March 2015, the first time the country hosted the tournament. Ellen Toni Convery (née White; born 9 May 1989) is an English former professional women's association football, footballer who played as a Forward (association football), forward. She is the record goalscorer for the England women's national football team, England women's national team. Having progressed through the Arsenal academy, White returned to the Gunners in 2010, after spells with Chelsea F.C. Women, Chelsea and Leeds United Women F.C., Leeds Carnegie. She has also played for Notts County Ladies F.C., Notts County, Birmingham City L.F.C., Birmingham City and Manchester City W.F.C., Manchester City.
