The 2019 CBA Playoffs was the postseason tournament of the Chinese Basketball Association's 2018–19 season. It began on 16 March 2019. In this season, the playoffs was expanded from 10 teams to 12 teams. Chinese Basketball Association
The Chinese Basketball Association (), often abbreviated as the CBA, is the first-tier professional men's basketball league in China. The league is commonly known by fans as the CBA, and this acronym is even used in Chinese on a regular basis. The CBA should not be confused with the National Basketball League (NBL), which is a professional minor league. There is also a Women's Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA). A few Chinese players who competed in the CBA in the early stages of their careers — including Wang Zhizhi, Mengke Bateer, Yao Ming, Yi Jianlian, Sun Yue, and Zhou Qi — have also played in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Jilin Northeast Tigers
The Jilin Northeast Tigers () or Jilin Tonggang, Jilin Tonggang Northeast Tigers () or Jiutai Rural Commercial Bank are a professional basketball team based in Changchun, Jilin, China, which plays in the North Division of the Chinese Basketball Association. The Tonggang Group is the club's corporate sponsor while its mascot is a Siberian tiger. History The team was founded in 1956 but became a professional club in 1998. Guangdong Hongyuan Southern Tigers () or Guangdong Southern Tigers, also known as Guangdong Dongguan Bank () for sponsorship reasons, are a Chinese professional basketball team owned by the Guangdong Winnerway (Hongyuan) Group. The team is one of the best-performing teams in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). The Tigers have won eleven CBA titles, more than any other team in the league. Dongfeng Nissan Cultural And Sports Centre
The Dongguan Basketball Centre (), also referred as Bank of Dongguan Basketball Centre () for sponsorship reasons, is an indoor arena located in Dongguan, China. It is used mostly for basketball matches and concerts. Guangdong Southern Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association are the tenants. Dongguan Basketball Center opened on 31 August 2014. Yao Ming's Yao Foundation Charity Game 2014, contested by Tony Parker, Shane Battier, Carl Landry, Troy Daniels, Wang Zhelin, Guo Ailun and Zhou Peng, was held as the opening match. Jiangsu Dragons Kentier (), also known as Jiangsu Dragons or Jiangsu Kentier, are a Chinese professional basketball team in the Southern Division of the Chinese Basketball Association, based in Nanjing, Jiangsu. Shandong Hi-Speed Kirin () is a Chinese professional basketball team based in Jinan, Shandong, which plays in the Northern Division of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). Some home games are held in the nearby city of Linyi. The Hi-Speed Group is the club's corporate sponsor. The long-time previous corporate sponsor was Kingston.
