2019 Buenos Aires Provincial Election
General elections were held in Buenos Aires Province on 27 October 2019, alongside national elections. The governor and vice governor, as well as half of the Chamber of Deputies and a third of the Senate were renewed. In addition, a number of municipal offices were elected as well. The candidatures were defined in the open, simultaneous, and mandatory primaries (PASO), which took place on 11 August 2019. Lists that won at least 1.5% of the votes (including blanks) qualified to the general election. The election resulted in the defeat of incumbent governor María Eugenia Vidal (PRO) to former finance minister and then-congressman Axel Kicillof, of the Frente de Todos (FDT). Buenos Aires Province Chamber Of Deputies
The Chamber of Deputies of Buenos Aires Province ( es, Cámara de Diputados de la Provincia de Buenos Aires) is the lower house of the Legislature of Buenos Aires Province, the largest and most populous of Argentina's provinces. It is made up of 92 deputies elected in eight multi-member constituencies known as Electoral Sections. The number of deputies that correspond to each of the electoral sections is proportional to their population, as observed in the results of every nationwide census conducted in Argentina every 10 years. Seats may only be added to adjust the proportionality of each section, but never reduced. As in the National Chamber of Deputies and most other provincial legislatures, elections to the Chamber are held every two years, so that half of its members are up in each election, making it a rare example of staggered elections used in a lower house. Federal Consensus
Federal Consensus ( es, Consenso Federal, CF) was a electoral coalition in Argentina formed to support the alliance between Roberto Lavagna and Juan Manuel Urtubey in 2019 general election. It is formed by dissidents of the Justicialist Party, the Socialist Party, the Freemen of the South Movement, the Federal Party, the Christian Democratic Party, the Third Position Party and the Light Blue and White Union. The only quartermaster won by the alliance in the 2019 elections was the Chivilcoy party, in the province of Buenos Aires. Guillermo Britos was reelected mayor with 48.05%. Popular Dignity (), also known as the Popular Dignity Party (), is a far-right and neo-Nazi political party founded by Ernesto Raúl Habrá in 2015 to compete in the Buenos Aires Province elections as a district party.
