Tom Kim
Kim Joo-hyung ( ko, 김주형; born 21 June 2002), commonly known as Tom Kim, is a South Korean professional golfer. He has won twice each on the PGA Tour, the Asian Tour, and the Korean Tour. Early life and amateur career Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea and is the son of a professional golfer, Kim Chang-ik, who played on the Buy.com Tour before becoming a teaching professional. As a result, Kim was based in Australia, the Philippines and later Thailand for a number of years. In 2018 he won the Philippine Amateur Open Championship and the W Express RVF Cup Amateur Championship. Professional career Kim turned professional in May 2018, playing on the Philippine Golf Tour. In 2019 he initially played mostly on the Asian Development Tour. In March he had two fourth-place finishes in Malaysia and then two runner-up finishes in Thailand before winning his first event, the PGM ADT Championship, in Malaysia in late June, six strokes ahead of the field. The ''sueng'' ( th, ซึง, Burmese: ၄ကြိုးထပ်ပို (ဆီုင်), , also spelled ''seung'' or ''süng'') is a plucked fretted lute from the northern ( Lanna) region of Thailand. The instrument is made from hardwood and its strings (numbering either four or six and arranged in courses of two) are most often made of steel wire. It has nine bamboo frets. The ''sueng'' is part of a northern Thai traditional ensemble called the ''salo''-''so (saw)''-''sueng'' ensemble, along with the ''salo'' (3-string spike fiddle) and ''pi so'' (free reed pipe). The ''sueng'' is similar to the '' grajabpi'' (กระจับปี่), an ancient Thai instrument that is used in the classical music of central Thailand. Park Seung (golfer)
Park Seung (Korean: 박승; Hanja: 朴昇; born February 16, 1936) is a Korean economist who most recently served as a Governor of the Bank of Korea from 2002 to 2006. Before becoming a governor of the Bank of Korea, he was a professor at Chung-Ang University, a president of Korea Economic Association (1999-2000), a senior secretary to the President for Economic Affairs under the Office of the President, and a minister of Ministry of Construction (1988-1989). Early life and education Park was born in Gimje, North Jeolla Province, as the second son of six kids under his mother, Kang Sinyong and father, Park Hyunsik. After graduating from the Department of Economics at Seoul National University in 1961, Park worked at the Bank of Korea between 1961 and 1976. He obtained his Master's and Ph.D. degree in economics from the State University of New York at Albany in 1974. Trevor Simsby (born October 13, 1992) is an American professional golfer. Simsby won the rain-shortened Bandar Malaysia Open on the Asian Tour in a playoff. This was the final event on tour for the calendar year of 2020 as the remaining events were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Stephen Michael Lewton (born 5 May 1983) is an English professional golfer who plays primarily in Asia. He won the 2014 Mercuries Taiwan Masters on the Asian Tour. Amateur career Lewton played college golf in the United States at North Carolina State University from 2002 to 2006, winning twice. He was runner-up in the 2006 European Amateur behind Rory McIlroy. Professional career Lewton turned professional in 2008. In 2010 he joined the Challenge Tour, finishing 80th in the season-end standings with a best result of T5. That winter he came through the qualifying school to secure a place on the European Tour; however after a difficult debut season he failed to retain his playing card. The Pakistan Open is a golf tournament organised by the Pakistan Golf Federation that was first played in 1967. In 1989, it was an included on the Asia Golf Circuit, and in 2006, 2007, and 2018 was part of the Asian Tour. History Pakistan has a number of golf courses from pre and post- Independence. As the Asian Tour continued to expand, Pakistan was chosen to host a tournament. In 2006, it was part of the Asian Tour schedule for the first time, on an initial three-year deal, however the 2008 Open was postponed due to security concerns within Pakistan at the time the event was scheduled to go ahead.
