2019 Army Black Knights Football Team
The 2019 Army Black Knights football team represented the United States Military Academy as an independent in the 2019 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Black Knights were led by sixth-year head coach Jeff Monken and played their home games at Michie Stadium. Due to playing an away game at Hawaii and the NCAA's "Hawaii Exemption", the Black Knights played a 13-game regular season in 2019. They finished the season with a record of 5–8, finishing in third place for the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy following losses to Air Force and Navy, and missing out on a bowl game for the first time since the 2015 season. Jeff Monken
Jeffrey Michael Monken (born April 15, 1967) is an American college football coach. He is the head football coach at the Army Black Knights football, United States Military Academy, a position he has held since 2014. Monken previously served as the head football coach of Georgia Southern University from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, he worked under Paul Johnson (American football coach, born 1957), Paul Johnson as a running backs coach and special teams coordinator at Georgia Southern, the United States Naval Academy, and Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia Tech. The Dubuque Spartans football team represents the University of Dubuque in college football at the NCAA Division III level. The Spartans are members of the American Rivers Conference (ARC), fielding its team in the ARC since 1929 when it was the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC). Jim Collins (American Football Coach)
Jim Collins (born September 8, 1966) is an American college football coach and former player. He is the head football coach for Wittenberg University, a position he has held since 2022. Collins served as head football coach at the University of Dubuque in Dubuque, Iowa from 1994 to 1996, Capital University in Bexley, Ohio from 1997 to 2007, and Saginaw Valley State University in University Center, Michigan from 2008 to 2018. Matt Drinkall (born November 8, 1982) is an American college football coach who is the head football coach for the Central Michigan Chippewas. He previously held various offensive coaching positions for the Army Black Knights.
