2019 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship
The 2019 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship was the 132nd edition of the Gaelic Athletic Association, GAA's premier inter-county Gaelic football tournament since its establishment in 1887. Thirty-three teams took part – thirty-one of the thirty-two Counties of Ireland, London county football team, London and New York county football team, New York. Kilkenny county football team, Kilkenny, as in previous years, did not enter. The defending champion was Dublin county football team, Dublin. In 2018 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship final, 2018 this team won a record-equalling fourth consecutive title, becoming only the fourth team to achieve this feat (the other four-in-a-row champions were Wexford county football team, Wexford in 1915–18 and Kerry county football team, Kerry in 1929–32 and 1978–81). 2018 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final
The 2018 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship final was the 131st final of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship and the culmination of the 2018 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship in Gaelic football. The match was played at Croke Park in Dublin on 2 September 2018. It was the second time the teams had met in the final; Dublin won the first encounter in 1995. It was the third consecutive year that a team qualified under the system of second chances introduced in 2001; Tyrone qualified despite defeat in its provincial championship. Dublin won the final by a margin of six points, on a scoreline of 2–17 to 1–14. The 2019 Ulster Senior Football Championship is the 131st instalment of the annual Ulster Senior Football Championship organised by Ulster GAA. It is one of the four provincial competitions of the 2019 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. The winners receive The Anglo-Celt Cup. The draw for the championship was made on 12 October 2018. The flag of Ulster, Ireland consists of a red cross on a gold background with a red hand on a white shield in the centre. History The flag of Ulster came about when Walter de Burgh, 1st Earl of Ulster became Earl of Ulster in 1264. He merged the family arms (heraldry) of the ancient Anglo-Norman and Hiberno-Norman noble dynasty, the House of Burgh (which was a red cross on a yellow background) with that of the Red Hand of Ulster of the Irish over-kingdom of Ulaid, which the earldom encompassed. The 2019 Connacht Senior Football Championship is the 120th installment of the annual Connacht Senior Football Championship organised by Connacht GAA. It is one of the four provincial competitions of the 2019 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. As of 2018 the competition winners advanced to the "All-Ireland Super 8s". The draw for the Connacht Championship was made on 12 October 2018. The winners receive the J. J. Nestor Cup, named after J. J. Nestor of Quinaltagh, County Galway. For a fourth year in a row, the final was contested between Galway and Roscommon. Roscommon were the winners of the championship, defeating Galway at Pearse Stadium in Salthill by 1-13 to 0-12. The Roscommon County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) () or Roscommon GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland, and is responsible for Gaelic games in County Roscommon. The 2019 Leinster Senior Football Championship is the 2019 installment of the annual Leinster Senior Football Championship organised by Leinster GAA. 2019 Munster Senior Football Championship
The 2019 Munster Senior Football Championship was the 2019 installment of the annual Munster Senior Football Championship organised by the Munster GAA. The fixtures were announced on 12 October 2018. Darren Mulhearne notably made his championship debut for Waterford against Clare in the quarter-final at the age of 46, believed to be the oldest player to debut. Two of his opponents in that game, and fellow debutants, had a combined age that was less than that of Mulhearne. He kept a clean sheet, in a one-point loss.
