2018–19 Cypriot Second Division
The 2018–19 Cypriot Second Division is the 64th season of the Cypriot second-level football league. It began on 15 September 2018 and expect to end in April 2019. Format Fourteen teams participated in the 2018–19 Cypriot Second Division. All teams will play against each other twice, once at their home and once away. The team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned champions. The first two teams will be promoted to the 2019–20 Cypriot First Division and the last four teams will be relegated to the 2019–20 Cypriot Third Division. Cypriot Second Division
The Cypriot Second Division ( el, Πρωτάθλημα Β΄ Κατηγορίας) is the second highest football division of the Cypriot football league system. Administrated by the Cyprus Football Association, it is contested by 16 teams, with the top two teams being promoted to the Cypriot First Division and the last four teams being relegated to the Cypriot Third Division. History The Cypriot Second Division started unofficially the 1934–35 football season as the second level of the Cypriot football ( Cyprus Football Association founded in 1934). The competition consisted of teams that didn't participate in Cypriot First Division and the reserve teams of the Cypriot First Division clubs. In the reserve teams were allowed to participate only players that had no more than three caps with their team in First Division. Olympiakos Nicosia
Olympiakos Nicosia ( el, Ολυμπιακός Λευκωσίας, ''Olympiakos Lefkosias'') is a football club based in Nicosia, Cyprus and competes in the Cypriot First Division. The club was founded in 1931, and is a founding member of the Cyprus Football Association. The club colors are black and green. Olympiakos' home ground is the Makario Stadium, which has a 16,000-seat capacity. The team's main nickname is "mavroprasini" (the green-blacks), and the club's other nickname is Taktakalas, derived from the area of Nicosia where the club hails from. Omonia Aradippou () is a Cypriot professional football club based in Aradippou, a settlement on the outskirts of the city of Larnaca. The club was founded on 4 April 1929 and currently, they compete in the Cypriot Second Division. Anagennisi Deryneia ( el, Αναγέννηση Δερύνειας) is Cypriot football team based in Deryneia, Famagusta. The club was founded in 1920 and they joined the Cyprus Football Association in 1972. The team played in the Cypriot First division in 2011 but was relegated at the end of the season. It has participated in the first and second divisions and Cypriot Third Division in the past. The club also maintains a volleyball team, which is currently playing in the Second Division, having lifted the Cypriot Cup trophy twice in the past. Ethnikos Assia Football Club ( el, Εθνικός 'Ασσιας) is a Cypriot football team currently playing in the Cypriot Second Division. The team was established in Assia, Famagusta, but since the Turkish invasion of 1974, Ethnikos became a refugee team. The 2018–19 Cypriot Third Division was the 48th season of the Cypriot third-level football league. Digenis Akritas Morphou won their 2nd title. Format Sixteen teams participated in the 2018–19 Cypriot Third Division. All teams played against each other twice, once at their home and once away. Onisilos Sotira 2014 is a Cypriot association football club based in Sotira, Famagusta, located in the Famagusta District. Its stadium is the Sotira Municipal Stadium. It has 2 participations in STOK Elite Division. History Onisilos was founded in 2014 to replace the same-year dissolved club due to financial problems, Kentro Neon Onisilos Sotira.
