2018–19 Big Bash League Season
The 2018–19 Big Bash League season or BBL, 08 was the eighth season of the KFC Big Bash League, the professional men's Twenty20 domestic cricket competition in Australia. The tournament started on 19 December 2018. Adelaide Strikers were the defending champions. The competition was extended to a full home and away season for the first time, with each team playing each other twice at both a home venue and away venue. For this season of the tournament, the toss was replaced by a bat flip, with "roofs and flats" used instead of heads or tails. The season saw Cameron Bancroft's return to professional cricket, following his involvement in the ball-tampering scandal in March 2018. The title was won by Melbourne Renegades, who defeated Melbourne Stars at the Marvel Stadium. Traeger Park
Traeger Park (currently known under naming rights as TIO Traeger Park) is a sports complex located in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia, in the suburb of The Gap, Northern Territory, The Gap. Named after Alfred Hermann Traeger, the park was officially opened by Anne Catherine Smallwood (née Traeger), Alfred's younger daughter. Kardinia Park (also known as GMHBA Stadium due to naming rights) is a sporting and entertainment venue located within Kardinia Park, South Geelong, in the Australian state of Victoria. Adam Griffith
Adam Richard 'Eddy' Griffith (born 11 February 1978) is a former Australian cricket player and Australian bowling coach. He was appointed as the cricket coach for Tasmania for the 2017–2018 season. He played first-class cricket for Tasmania and also had a spell at Leicestershire. He played his club cricket for South Launceston Cricket Club & North Hobart Cricket Club. Matthew Scott Wade (born 26 December 1987) is an Australian former international cricketer. He plays domestic cricket for the Tasmanian cricket team, who he also captains, and for Hobart Hurricanes. York Park is a sports ground in the Inveresk and York Park Precinct, Launceston, Australia. Holding 21,000 people, York Park is known commercially as University of Tasmania (UTAS) Stadium and was formerly known as Aurora Stadium under a previous naming rights agreement signed with Aurora Energy in 2004. Daniel Luca Vettori (born 27 January 1979) is a New Zealand cricket coach and former cricketer who played for the New Zealand national cricket team. Christopher Austin Lynn (born 10 April 1990) is an Australian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman who plays for Queensland and the Adelaide Strikers in Australian domestic cricket.
