The 2017–18 season was Al-Ahli's 42nd consecutive season in the top flight of Saudi football and 80th year in existence as a football club. They entered this season looking to rebound from a disappointing 2016–17 campaign, when they finished as runners-up in both the league and King Cup. Mohamed Abdel Shafy Said Abouzid (; born 1 July 1985) is an Egyptian professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Zamalek SC. Club career He started his career with Zamalek youth team then moved to ENPPI then moved to Ghazl El-Mehalla. He joined Zamalek's squad again in 2009. International career Abdel Shafy was called to join the Egypt national team on 31 December 2009. Taiseer Jaber Abdulmohsen Al-Jassim (, can also be spelled as Taisir Al-Jassim, born 25 July 1984) is a Saudi Arabian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Salman Al-Moasher
Salman Al-Moasher (; born 5 October 1988) is a Saudi Arabian footballer who plays for Al-Jubail as a winger. He is a former Saudi Arabia international having represented them from 2012 until 2018. Career Salman Al-Moasher started his career at Heraa in his hometown of Mecca. In 2005, he received offers from Al-Ahli, Al-Nassr and Al-Shabab.
