2018 Washington Huskies Softball Team
The 2018 Washington Huskies softball team represented the University of Washington in the 2018 NCAA Division I softball season. The Huskies were coached by Heather Tarr, who led her fourteenth season. The Huskies finished with a record of 52–10, and finished fourth in the Pac-12 Conference with a 15–8 record. The Huskies were invited to the 2018 NCAA Division I Softball Tournament, where they swept the 2018 NCAA Division I softball tournament#Seattle Super Regional, NCAA Seattle Regional and 2018 NCAA Division I softball tournament#Seattle Super Regional, NCAA Seattle Super Regional and then completed a run to the title game of the 2018 NCAA Division I Softball Tournament#Women's College World Series, Women's College World Series where they fell to champion 2018 Florida State Seminoles softball team, Florida State. Heather Tarr
Heather Robyn Tarr (born October 5, 1974) is an American former collegiate softball third baseman, and is the current head coach at Washington Huskies softball, Washington. Tarr become one of five coaches/athletes to have played and coached in the Women's College World Series, playing in the 1996 Women's College World Series as well the 1997 Women's College World Series, and coaching the Huskies at the 2009 Women's College World Series. She was the first coach to win a title with her alma mater when the Huskies won the national championship in 2009. Tarr has also assisted United States women's national softball team, Team USA and helped coach the team at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
