2018 Swope Park Rangers Season
The 2018 Swope Park Rangers season was the club's third year of play and their third season in the Western Conference of the United Soccer League, the second tier of the United States Soccer Pyramid. The Rangers moved from the Swope Soccer village to Shawnee Mission District Stadium in Overland Park, Kansas for the team's season opener, before playing the rest of the 2018 schedule at Children's Mercy Park. Previous season The 2017 Swope Park Rangers season finished the year with a record of 17-7-8 and 4th in the Western Conference qualifying for the 2017 USL Playoffs. In the first round, the Rangers defeated #5 seed Phoenix Rising on penalty kicks 4-2 after a draw in regulation (1-1). Swope Park Rangers
Sporting Kansas City II is a MLS Next Pro club affiliated with Sporting Kansas City of Major League Soccer. For the 2022 season they will play their home games at Rock Chalk Park at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas, as well as Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, Missouri. They were formerly known as the Swope Park Rangers. The club is headquartered alongside Sporting Kansas City at Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas. History On October 22, 2015, the team was officially announced as the USL's 30th franchise, as were the Swope Park Rangers name, color scheme and logo. Darrin MacLeod
Darrin MacLeod (born March 4, 1994) is a retired Canadian professional soccer player who is currently the goalkeeping coach for Sporting Kansas City II of MLS Next Pro. Career Youth MacLeod played for Kitchener Minor Soccer from 2003 to 2006 before moving to Oakville Soccer Club (OSC) playing for the 1994 Raiders A for 5 years, MacLeod and the Oakville Raiders would win the Ontario Cup in 2007 and 2009. MacLeod was awarded OSC (Oakville Soccer Club) Male Youth Athlete of the year for 2009. Parker Maher (born July 12, 1993) is an American soccer player. Career College Maher played his entire college soccer career at Missouri State University between 2011 and 2014. While at MSU, Maher earned All-MVC Second Team honors and was named MVC All-Tournament team and All-North/Central Region Academic First Team member. Professional Maher signed with USL club Saint Louis FC on February 13, 2015. He scored his first professional goal against the Charlotte Independence on July 4, 2015, and was named to the USL's Team of the Week for his performance. The Fordham Rams men's soccer team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of Fordham University in The Bronx, New York, United States. Rio Grande Valley FC, also known as RGVFC or Rio Grande Valley FC Toros, is an American semi-professional soccer team based in Edinburg, Texas operated by Lone Star, LLC. Early career Bilyeu attended soccer powerhouse program, Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis, where he won a state championship in 2009, and was voted to the all-state team during his senior year. Real Monarchs is a professional soccer club playing in the MLS Next Pro, a third division league of American soccer. The team is owned by, and operates as the reserve team of, the Major League Soccer club Real Salt Lake.
