Rio Grande Valley FC Toros
Rio Grande Valley FC, also known as RGVFC or Rio Grande Valley FC Toros, is an American semi-professional soccer team based in Edinburg, Texas operated by Lone Star, LLC. They joined the USL Championship in the 2016 season. The team served as a hybrid affiliate of the Houston Dynamo of Major League Soccer. Chris Canetti, Houston Dynamo president, called the relationship "an important and necessary step." The hybrid affiliation, a first for the USL, means that the Dynamo will be responsible for the soccer operation of the club, selecting players and coaching staff. The ownership group, Lone Star, will be responsible for operations and day-to-day management of the club. Omar Ontiveros (born May 15, 1995) is an American soccer player who most recently played for LA Galaxy II of the USL Championship. Sacramento Republic FC is an American professional soccer team based in Sacramento, California, that plays in the Western Conference of the USL Championship, the second level in US soccer. Co-founded by Warren Smith and Joe Wagoner in 2012, the team started play in 2014 at the 20,231-seat Hughes Stadium, before moving midseason to their current home at Heart Health Park. Republic won the 2014 USL championship and have made the playoffs four times. Tony Walls (born January 16, 1990) is an American soccer player currently playing for St. Louis Ambush in the Major Arena Soccer League. Career College and Amateur Walls played four years of college soccer at the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay between 2008 and 2011. While at college, Walls also appeared for USL PDL club Michigan Bucks in 2011.
