2018 Prague Military Parade
The Prague Military Parade of 2018 was a military parade in the Czech Republic which took place on Prague's Evropská Street on 28 October 2018. It took place as part of the 3-day centennial celebrations of the founding of Czechoslovakia in 1918. The parade was the first of its kind in 10 years and the largest in the country since the 1985 Victory Parade. It saw over 4,000 Czech and Slovak military personnel take part in the event, which included troops from the United Kingdom, France, Italy and the United States. Peter Pellegrini
Peter Pellegrini (; born 6 October 1975) is a Slovak politician who is serving as the sixth president of Slovakia since 2024. He previously served as prime minister of Slovakia from 2018 to 2020. Pellegrini also served as the Minister of Health, minister of health from December 2019 to March 2020, Fico's Second Cabinet, deputy prime minister (2016–2018) and Fico's Second Cabinet, minister for Education and Science (2014), as well as spending two non-consecutive stints as List of speakers of Slovak parliaments, speaker of the National Council (Slovakia), National Council (2014–2016; 2023–2024). James Norman Mattis (born September 8, 1950) is an American military officer who served as the 26th United States secretary of defense from 2017 to 2019. A retired Marine Corps four-star general, he commanded forces in the Persian Gulf War, the War in Afghanistan, and the Iraq War. Mattis was commissioned in the Marine Corps through the Naval Reserve Officers' Training Corps after graduating from Central Washington University. A career Marine, he gained a reputation among his peers for intellectualism and eventually advanced to the rank of general.
