Miramichi, New Brunswick
Miramichi () is the largest city in northern New Brunswick, Canada. It is situated at the mouth of the Miramichi River where it enters Miramichi Bay. Jared Bezanson
Jared Bezanson (born May 11, 1986 in Kentville, Nova Scotia) is a Canadian curler from Quispamsis, New Brunswick. He currently plays lead on Team Scott Jones. As a junior curler, Bezanson won a silver medal at the 2003 Canada Winter Games. He won three straight New Brunswick junior titles from 2003 to 2005, throwing lead rocks for Daniel Sherrard (2003) and for Ryan Sherrard (2004 and 2005). At the 2003 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, the team finished the round robin with a 6-6 record. The team went on to win the gold medal at the 2004 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. They represented Canada at the 2004 World Junior Curling Championships, finishing in 5th place. Darren Roach
Darren Roach (born December 29, 1986, in Saint John, New Brunswick) is a Canadian curler. He currently throws third stones for the Jason Roach rink from Saint John, New Brunswick. Roach twice (2004 and 2005) won the New Brunswick men's junior championships playing second on a team skipped by Ryan Sherrard. The team won the Canadian Junior Curling Championships in their first attempt in 2004. They had finished the round robin with a 9–3 record, in a three way tie for first. The team would go on to win both of their playoff games, including the final against Manitoba's Daley Peters. The team then represented Canada at the 2004 World Junior Curling Championships. The team finished the round robin with a 5–4 record, tied with Korea. However, they lost in the tie-breaker match against the Koreans. Jeremy Mallais (born July 18, 1988) is a Canadian curler from Moncton, New Brunswick. He is currently the alternate on Team Scott Jones. Career Mallais finished second at the 2008 New Brunswick Tankard, losing the final to James Grattan 9–2. He also lost in the final in 2010 playing lead for Terry Odishaw and finished third in 2013 playing third for Jason Vaughan. He won his first Tankard title in 2015 at the 2015 Pepsi Tankard and went on to have a 2–9 record at the 2015 Tim Hortons Brier in Calgary. He joined Team Scott Jones for the 2019–20 season. They won the Atlantic Superstore Monctonian Challenge and the Steele Cup Cash on the World Curling Tour and played in the 2019 Tour Challenge Tier 2 Grand Slam of Curling event. Curl Moncton
Curl Moncton Inc. is a curling club in Moncton, New Brunswick. History Curl Moncton traces its history back to the founding of the Moncton Curling Association (MCA) in 1881, and was located on Lower Lutz Street. The club was moved to Mechanic Street in 1903, but was destroyed in a fire in 1915. The club was then rebuilt on Lutz Street. Curl Moncton itself was formed in 2011 when the Beaver Curling Club and the Curling Beauséjour merged. The MCA joined Curl Moncton in 2013, when Curl Moncton purchased its site on Lutz Street to gain access to equity. The move was controversial, as it involved evicting the Humanity Project, which had been using the facility to help house and feed the homeless population. Robert Daley (born 1930 in New York City), is an American writer, journalist, and former New York City Police Department officer. He is the author of 31 books, six of which have been adapted for film, and a hundred or so magazine articles and stories. Brian King (born January 2, 1981, in Ottawa, Ontario) is a Canadian curler from Burton, New Brunswick. He currently plays third on Team Scott Jones. Career King competed in his first New Brunswick Tankard in 2010 as second for the Scott Jones. At the 2010 Alexander Keith's Tankard, the team finished with a 4–3 record, missing the playoffs. They returned to the provincial championship the following season where they finished sixth with a 3–4 record. King joined the Zach Eldridge rink for the 2011–12 season. Jamie Brannen
Jamie Robert Alexander Brannen (September 2, 1975 – September 23, 2022) was a Canadian curler and a six-time New Brunswick Tankard champion. Early life Brannen was born in Windsor, Nova Scotia, the son of Robert Brannen and Cindy Clark Murray. He grew up in Chipman, New Brunswick and graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a degree in Computer Science. Curling career Brannen won the 2007 New Brunswick Mixed Championship with teammates Heather Munn, Nick Munn and wife Lesley Hicks. The team represented New Brunswick at the 2008 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship, where he skipped the team to a 4–7 record.
