2018 Pan American Track Cycling Championships
The 2018 Pan American Track Championships took place at the Aguascalientes Bicentenary Velodrome, in Aguascalientes, Mexico, from August 29 until September 2, 2018. The event served as a qualifier for the 2019 Pan American Games. Aguascalientes, officially the Free and Sovereign State of Aguascalientes, is one of the 32 states which comprise the Political divisions of Mexico, Federal Entities of Mexico. At 22°N and with an average altitude of above sea level it is predominantly of semi-arid climate (Köppen climate classification, Bhs and Bhk). Njisane Nicholas Phillip (born 29 May 1991) is a former Trinidadian track cyclist active from 2010 until 2019. Born in Siparia, he competed for Trinidad and Tobago at the 2012 Summer Olympics, where he achieved a fourth place finish in the individual sprint, as well as at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games. and at several Pan American Games and Championships. Daniel Holloway (born May 21, 1987) is an American cyclist, who previously rode for the U. S. Nation Team, the professional Garmin Chipotle Team and the American amateur team Texas Roadhouse Racing. Holloway specialized in criteriums, track racing, and six-day racing. During his career, Holloway has won over 20 national titles, a Pan American Road and Track Championships, Pan American title in 2018, and a gold medal at the 2019 Pan American Games. On June 2, 2021, Daniel Holloway announced his retirement from professional cycling.
