2018 Minnesota United FC Season
The 2018 Minnesota United FC season was the ninth season of Minnesota United FC's existence and their second season in Major League Soccer, the top-tier of American soccer. United played at TCF Bank Stadium and was coached by Adrian Heath, who still coaches United. Outside of MLS, Minnesota United also participated in the 2018 U.S. Open Cup, as well as various preseason competitions. The club began play in 2017 as the league's 22nd club, and replaced the North American Soccer League (NASL) franchise of the same name. Bobby Shuttleworth
Robert "Bobby" Shuttleworth (born May 13, 1987) is an American former professional soccer player who played as a goalkeeper for multiple teams in MLS and USL Championship. Early life Shuttleworth grew up in Buffalo, New York, and while attending Nichols School he set the school record with 48 career shutouts. Among his other accolades were winning 2 New York State Private High School Championships as well as earning first-team All-Western New York, All-State and All-East region honors. He finished his high school career with a 20–2–1 record in his senior year. Career College Shuttleworth initially attended and played college soccer at Loyola College in Baltimore. Michael Boxall
Michael Joseph Boxall (born 18 August 1988) is a New Zealand footballer who currently plays for Minnesota United in Major League Soccer, and the New Zealand national football team. Early career in New Zealand For high school, Boxall attended and played for Mount Albert Grammar School. With Boxall anchoring the defence, Mount Albert won the league title in 2004 and 2005 and placed first at the national tournament in 2005. In his senior season in 2006, Boxall was named the team captain. He led the team to a second Knockout Cup title in three years. Brent Kallman (born October 4, 1990) is an American professional soccer player who plays for Major League Soccer club Minnesota United FC. His siblings Brian and Kassey are also professional soccer players. Brian formerly played for Minnesota United when the team competed in the North American Soccer League. Marc Burch (born May 7, 1984 in Cincinnati, Ohio) is an American soccer player. Career College and amateur Burch played college soccer at the University of Evansville for three seasons from 2002–2004, scoring seven goals and assisting on 22 along the way, and spent the summer months playing for the Cleveland Internationals in the USL Premier Development League. After the 2004 season he transferred to the University of Maryland, where he would become a crucial member of the Terrapin squad that won the College Cup, even scoring the game-winning goal in the championship against New Mexico. Deportivo Saprissa is a Costa Rican sports club, mostly known for its football team. The club is based in San Juan de Tibás, San José, and play their home games at the Estadio Ricardo Saprissa Aymá. The team's signature colours are purple (burgundy) and white.
