2018 Micro Games
The 9th Micronesian Games were held from July 15 to July 27, 2018, in Yap, Federated States of Micronesia. The venues included the Yap Sports Complex, Matson Sports Complex in Abay, and several locations around Colonia, Federated States of Micronesia, Colonia. Participating nations Ordinarily, there are 10 participants at the games. However, Nauru was unable to fully compete in this edition due to travel costs. Of the fifty-five that were to be the Nauruan team to the Games, only one Nauruan athlete participated; in the end, Jonah Harris won a total of 5 medals, 2 of which were gold. As such, the participants at the games were: the four constituent states of the Federated States of Micronesia (Chuuk State, Chuuk, Kosrae State, Kosrae, Pohnpei State, Pohnpei, Yap State, Yap), three sovereign countries (Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Palau) and two United States territory#Insular areas, insular areas of the United States (Northern Mariana Islands, Guam) all located within the Microne ...

2014 Micronesian Games
The 8th Micronesian Games were held from July 20 to July 30, 2014, in Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia (FSM). The Games began with an opening ceremony on the track and field grounds. They included "traditional war dances", and the unfurling of the Games flag in the air as it was delivered by parachute. At the closing of the Games, Guam had topped the medal table with eighty-one medals, of which forty-two were gold. Participating countries All Micronesian nations, states and territories participated in the Games. The host country was represented by four teams, one for each of its federated states: Chuuk, Kosrae, Pohnpei and Yap. The other participants included four independent countries (Kiribati, the Marshall Islands, Nauru, Palau) and two unincorporated organised territories of the United States: the Northern Mariana Islands and Guam.
