2018 Korea Masters
The 2018 Korea Masters (officially known as Victor Korea Masters 2018 for sponsorship reasons) was a badminton tournament which took place at Gwangju Women's University Stadium in South Korea from 27 November to 2 December 2018 and had a total prize of $250,000 (₩282,744,600). Tournament The 2018 Korea Masters was the twenty-sixth and last tournament of the 2018 BWF World Tour before the 2018 BWF World Tour Finals. However, this tournament was not calculated in the rankings used as qualification for the World Tour Finals. It was part of the Korea Masters, which had been held since 2007. It was organized by the Badminton Korea Association and sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation, BWF. Gwangju Women's University Stadium
Gwangju () is South Korea's list of cities in South Korea, sixth-largest metropolis. BWF World Ranking
The BWF World Ranking is the official ranking of the Badminton World Federation for badminton players who participate in tournaments sanctioned by Badminton World Federation. It is used to determine the qualification for the World Championships and Summer Olympic Games, as well as BWF World Tour tournaments. Lu Guangzu
Lu Guangzu (; born on 19 October 1996) is a Chinese badminton player. In 2018, Lu made into his first final at the Lingshui China Masters. Since then, he both won Australian Open and Canada Open's titles. Career 2022 Lu reached the final of the Australian Open, his first final in four years, defeating world No.2 Lee Zii Jia en route. Although he lost to compatriot Shi Yuqi in three games, he qualified for the World Tour Finals for the first time in his career. In his group, he defeated Prannoy H. Panji Ahmad Maulana
Panji Ahmad Maulana (born 21 July 1997) is an Indonesian badminton player. He is affiliated with Candra Wijaya club. Maulana was part of Indonesia team that won a silver medal at the 2015 World Junior Championships and a gold medal at the 2017 SEA Games. Career Maulana started his career in badminton in a club Garuda Mas in Tasikmalaya. He has also been listed as a member of the Mutiara Cardinal Bandung club. Sitthikom Thammasin ( th, สิทธิคมน์ ธรรมศิลป์; born 7 April 1995) is a Thai badminton player. He won the men's singles title at the 2012 Singapore International Series when he was 17. Lee Zii Jia (, born 29 March 1998) is a Malaysian badminton player. He was the men's singles gold medalist at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games and won his first BWF Super 1000 title at the 2021 All England Open. Lee is the reigning men's singles Asian champion, winning the title at the 2022 Badminton Asia Championships. Lee Dong-keun (Hangul: 이동근; or ; born 20 November 1990) is a Korean badminton player specializing in men's singles. He won his first international senior title at the 2011 Vietnam International tournament. Kantaphon Wangcharoen ( th, กันตภณ หวังเจริญ; born 18 September 1998) is a Thai badminton player. At the young age, Wangcharoen became the runner-up in the senior tournament 2014 Singapore International in the men's singles event after losing the match because of foot injury.
