2018 Kerry Senior Hurling Championship
The 2018 Kerry Senior Hurling Championship was the 117th staging of the Kerry Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Kerry County Board in 1889. The draw for the opening round fixtures took place on 30 May 2018. The championship ran from 16 June to 26 August 2018. Ballyduff were the defending champions, however, they were beaten by Kilmoyley in the semi-finals. The final was played on 26 August 2018 at Austin Stack Park in Tralee, between Lixnaw and Kilmoyley, in what was their first meeting in the final in four years. Lixnaw won the match by 1–12 to 0–12 to claim their ninth championship title overall and a first title in four years. The championship began on 19 July 2014 and ended on 11 October 2014. St. Brendan's were the defending champions, however, they were defeated in the semi-final after a replay. Pádraig Boyle
Pádraig Boyle (born 3 December 1993) is an Irish hurler who plays for Kerry Senior Championship club Ballyduff and at inter-county level with the Kerry senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a forward. Career A member of the Ballyduff club, Boyle first came to prominence at underage levels by winning minor and under-21 championship titles. He progressed onto the club's senior team and has since won four County Championship titles. Boyle first came to prominence on the inter-county scene as a member of the Kerry minor and under-21 teams that won All-Ireland titles in the respective second tier championships. He was still eligible for the minor grade when he was drafted onto the Kerry senior hurling team in 2011, ending the season with a Christy Ring Cup title. Shane Nolan is a hurler from County Kerry. He has played with the Kerry intercounty team and with his local Crotta O'Neill's club. Club At club level Nolan plays with Crotta O'Neill's. He won the County League Div 1 title in 2010 beating County Championships Ballyduff in the final. In 2011 he helped Crotta O'Neill's to their first County Championship final in 12 years. Jack Goulding
Jack Goulding (born 1998) is an Irish hurler who plays as a right corner-forward at senior level for the Kerry county team. Born in Ballyduff, County Kerry, Goulding first played competitive hurling at Causeway Comprehensive School. He simultaneously came to prominence at juvenile and underage levels with the Ballyduff club. He subsequently won a county championship medal with the club's senior team. Goulding made his debut on the inter-county scene as a member of the Kerry minor team as a dual player. He enjoyed several championship seasons in this grade, culminating with the winning of All-Ireland medals in both codes. Ballyheigue GAA is a hurling and gaelic football club in north County Kerry, Ireland. The club competes at all levels of hurling at county and North Kerry and also plays some underage football as well as competing in the county junior football league and the county novice football shield. History The club was founded in 1892. The field, which is named after John Joe O'Sullivan, was purchased in the 1950s. Club rooms were later built in 1974. A new ball alley, dressing rooms and a meeting room were opened in 2006.
