ISS Dome
PSD Bank Dome, originally branded ''ISS Dome'', is a multi-use indoor arena in Düsseldorf, Germany. The arena, which opened in 2006, has a maximum capacity of 15,151 and mainly hosts sports events and concerts. Usage The venue is used mostly for ice hockey matches, as well as concerts. Its home team is the Düsseldorfer EG. Furthermore, the arena will host the gymnastica artistics and the final phase of the basketball tournaments during 2025 Summer World University Games and some matches of the 2027 IIHF World Championship. Major artists performing at PSD Bank Dome included Pharrell Williams, David Guetta, Slipknot and Beyoncé amongst others. The International Judo Federation (IJF) is the international governing body for judo, founded in July 1951. Today the IJF has 200 National Federations on all continents. There are over 20 million people around the globe who practice judo, according to the IJF. History On July 11, 1951 in London, the representatives of the European Judo Union (Great Britain, France, Italy, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Switzerland) received the candidacy of Argentina and the International Judo Federation was created. The Italian Aldo Torti became the first President of the IJF. Countries from four continents were affiliated over the next ten years. Jorge Ivayr Rodrigues da Fonseca (born 30 October 1992) is a Santomean-born Portuguese judoka who competes for both Portugal and Sporting Clube de Portugal. He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the men's 100 kg event, in which he was eliminated in the second round by Lukáš Krpálek. Varlam Liparteliani (; born 27 February 1989) is a Georgian retired judoka. He has won silver at Olympic and World level. Career Liparteliani competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the 90 kg event and lost in the second round to Mark Anthony. At the European Championships, Liparteliani won gold in 2012, 2014 and 2016, silver in 2009, 2010, 2013, 2015, 2019 and 2021, and bronze in 2011.
