2018 Johan Cruyff Shield
The 2018 Johan Cruyff Shield was the 23rd edition of the Johan Cruyff Shield ( nl, Johan Cruijff Schaal), an annual Dutch football match played between the winners of the previous season's Eredivisie and KNVB Cup. The match was contested by PSV Eindhoven, champions of the 2017–18 Eredivisie, and Feyenoord, winners of the 2017–18 KNVB Cup. It was held at the Philips Stadion on 4 August 2018. Philips Sport Vereniging (; en, Philips Sports Association ), abbreviated as PSV and internationally known as PSV Eindhoven (), is a Dutch sports club from Eindhoven, Netherlands. It is best known for its professional football department, which has played in the Eredivisie, the top tier in Dutch football, since its inception in 1956. Luuk De Jong
Luuk de Jong (; born 27 August 1990) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a striker for Eredivisie club PSV Eindhoven and the Netherlands national team. De Jong previously played for DZC '68, De Graafschap, Twente, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Newcastle United, before joining PSV in 2014. He played over 200 games for the club, scoring over 100 goals, and helped them win the Eredivisie three times in his five-season stay. Jeroen Zoet (; born 6 January 1991) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Serie A club Spezia. Having started his career at PSV Eindhoven, Zoet previously played two seasons on loan for RKC Waalwijk before returning to PSV Eindhoven to establish himself as the first choice goalkeeper. Jordy Clasie (; born 27 June 1991) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Eredivisie club AZ Alkmaar and for the Dutch national team. Sofyan Amrabat ( ar, سفيان أمرابط; ber, ⵙⵓⴼⵢⴰⵏ ⴰⵎⵕⴰⴱⵟ; born 21 August 1996) is a professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Premier League club Manchester United, on loan from Serie A club Fiorentina. Dylan Vente (born 9 May 1999) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a forward for Eerste Divisie club Roda JC. Jan-Arie van der Heijden (born 3 March 1988) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a centre back, most recently for Eredivisie club Willem II.
