Influenza
Influenza, commonly known as "the flu", is an infectious disease caused by influenza viruses. Álvaro Arzú
Álvaro Enrique Arzú Yrigoyen (; 14 March 1946 – 27 April 2018) was a Guatemalan politician and businessman who served as the 32nd President of Guatemala from 14 January 1996 until 14 January 2000. He was elected Mayor of Guatemala City on six occasions: in 1982, when he declined taking office because of a coup d'état; in 1986; in 2003, after serving as president; in 2007; in 2011, and in 2015, for a term that would see him die in office. José Efraín Ríos Montt (; 16 June 1926 – 1 April 2018) was a Guatemalan military officer and politician who served as ''de facto'' President of Guatemala in 1982–83. His brief tenure as chief executive was one of the bloodiest periods in the long-running Guatemalan Civil War. Margarita Carrera
Margarita Carrera Molina (16 September 1929 – 31 March 2018) was a Guatemalan philosopher, professor and writer. She was a member of the Academia Guatemalteca de la Lengua and the 1996 laureate of the Miguel Ángel Asturias National Prize in Literature. Early life Margarita Carrera Molina was born 16 September 1929 in Guatemala City to Frenchman Antonio Carrera Martello and Josefina Molina Llardén. Her father committed suicide when she was a child and she had to work to help support her family, going to night school to learn. She was the first female graduate in Literature from Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala in 1957. Óscar Julio Vian Morales
Óscar Julio Vian Morales S.D.B. (18 October 1947 – 24 February 2018) was archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Guatemala from his appointment by Pope Benedict XVI on 2 October 2010 until his death from cancer. He had previously served as archbishop of Los Altos in Guatemala. He was born in Guatemala City, ordained a priest in 1976, and appointed Vicar Apostolic of El Petén in 1996.
