2018 German Masters
The 2018 German Masters (officially the 2018 D88 German Masters) was a professional ranking snooker tournament, that took place from 31 January to 4 February 2018 in Berlin, Germany. It was the thirteenth ranking event of the 2017/2018 season. Anthony Hamilton was the defending champion, but he lost 1–5 to Jimmy Robertson in the first round. Mark Williams won his 20th professional ranking title and his second of the season, defeating Graeme Dott 9–1 in the final. German Masters
The German Masters is a professional Snooker world rankings, ranking snooker tournament held at the Tempodrom in Berlin, Germany since 2011, except for 2021, when it was held at Milton Keynes in England because of the COVID-19 pandemic. An earlier ranking event, the German Open, was held in Germany from 1995 to 1997. This was followed by an invitation event, called the German Masters, in 1998. The reigning champion is Kyren Wilson. Gary Wilson (snooker Player)
Gary Wilson (born 11 August 1985) is an English professional snooker player from Wallsend in North Tyneside, Tyne and Wear. After showing promise from a young age, Wilson won the IBSF World U-21 Championship before turning professional in 2004. He dropped off the tour in 2006, however, and did not regain his professional status until 2013. During his second period as an amateur, Wilson won the English Amateur Championship in 2012 and reached the final of the World Amateur Championship the same year. Noted for his cue ball control and break-building ability, Wilson has won three ranking titles, the Scottish Open in 2022 and 2023, and the 2024 Welsh Open. Mark Davis (snooker Player)
Mark Davis (born 12 August 1972) is an English professional snooker player from St Leonards-on-Sea, St Leonards in Sussex. He became professional in 1991, and for many years was considered something of a Journeyman#Modern journeyman, journeyman; however, he vastly improved his game in the late 2000s, and as a result in 2012 made his debut in the top 16. Niu Zhuang
Niu Zhuang (; born 26 June 1994) is a Chinese former professional snooker player. Career Niu first received attention in world snooker when he entered APTC Event 2 in 2012, reaching the last 16 and defeating established professionals Mark King (4–0) and future World Champion Stuart Bingham (4–3). Ben Woollaston
Ben Woollaston (born 14 May 1987) is an English professional snooker player from Leicester. His sole professional title came at the minor-ranking Players Tour Championship 2011/2012 – Event 3, third Players Tour Championship event in 2011. Woollaston's only Snooker world rankings, ranking event final came at the 2015 Welsh Open (snooker), 2015 Welsh Open, in which he lost to John Higgins. Yu Delu (; born 11 October 1987) is a former professional snooker player from the People's Republic of China. He is currently serving a 10 years and 9 months ban for match-fixing from 25 May 2018 until 24 February 2029. The ban was announced on 1 December 2018 after the result of a lengthy investigation. Joe Perry (snooker Player)
Joe Perry (born 13 August 1974) is an English retired snooker player. Nicknamed "the Gentleman", Perry climbed the rankings steadily after turning professional in 1992 and reached the Top 16 for the first time in 2002. Ricky Walden
Ricky Walden (born 11 November 1982) is an English professional snooker player from Chester. Walden turned professional in 2000 and it took him eight years to win his first ranking title at the Shanghai Masters. He has since won the 2012 Wuxi Classic and the 2014 International Championship and has been inside the top 16 in the season-ending rankings on four occasions. Jack Lisowski (born 25 June 1991) is an English professional snooker player from Churchdown, Gloucestershire. He turned professional in 2010 by finishing first in the 2009/2010 International Open Series, PIOS rankings. A left-handed player, he is known for his attacking style of play. Michael Georgiou (born 18 January 1988) is a British-Greek Cypriots, Cypriot former professional snooker player from Forest Hill, London, Forest Hill. Mark Allen (snooker Player)
Mark Allen (born 22 February 1986) is a Northern Irish professional snooker player from Antrim. He won the European and World Amateur Championship in 2004 and turned professional in 2005. Allen entered the world top 16 after only three seasons.
